The_Vigilante
I recently purchased a 5" Eagle from Dawson Precision and Dave is going to complete his CRP mods on it shortly. Are there any parts on this model that need to be replaced that would improve it or make it less susceptible to breaking? Thanks
Paul-the new guy
I would swap out the stock STI ignition parts for Extreme, I would swap out the mag release for a Dawson Posi-Lock IDPA legal extended length, I would swap out the slide stop for a wilson combat extended version and I would swap out the grip for an STI aluminum. There isn't anything more prone to breakage than usual. I have 15k or so through this one...
v1911
Leave it as is. Buy more mags and start reloading if you don't yet. After you've shot it enough to know what you'd like, then replace parts as you see fit.

2MoreChains
Shoot it until / if something breaks. If something does replace it with something else. Otherwise +4 to what they others have said!
45 Raven
Well, this is redundant, but . . . . . +
RangerTrace
The main issue I had with stock STIs were the extractors. But, maybe Dave tunes those with the package.

Roscoe09292010
I made mine 'mine' without replacing any parts. To each his own I suppose.
