anderson22
Just wondering if anyone here has shot one and if they are worth the 1400.00. I really like the looks of this gun. Just haven't heard too much about them. Thanks in advance for the help...
Avezorak
Ive shot one and I think they are worth it. Better fit and finish for less money than the SA TRP Operator, Kimber Gold Combat or several others Ive played with. The Ed Brown and Les Baers Ive shot were a little more accurate, but the Dan is hard to beat for that money.
steviesterno
DW is probably the best production 1911 value out there. They are/were hard to get due to limited release and a plant fire, but my duty coated valor was an amazing gun for the price. No MIM, shot great, reliable, and looked good. what more can you ask for? I'm really debating a CCO for carry.
anderson22
Right on, I have a Les Baer Custom already and LOVE it But I wouldnt mind getting something with a rail.. I also am considering the valor
steviesterno
Get the valor. You won't be let down. The fit and feel is just a tad less than a baer (I have a concept V myself) but the finish is nicer. I personally don't care what a gun looks like. Shoot a 3 gun match like ya mean it and you will be throwing $6k in gear into a dump bucket like it was radioactive, but the valor was VERY well done. Really considering getting another ASAP. MarkCO
Dan Wessons have been some of my favorite 1911s, especially my Razorback.

mwx40x40
Went to Angus's website in hopes of checking out a PM9 and was a little surprised to see it was not listed, but the SS 40 was. I thought the 40' s were no longer produced? Do you think the 9 is now discontinued and the 40 is back?
dirty whiteboy
They had the PM 9's about a month or so ago. I shot one at the range. If the guy was willing to sell, I would have bought it right then.

They are not new production, but were new guns. Could be wrong tho.
Chef J
Get the valor. You won't be let down. You will not be disappointed, you get a whole lot of pistol for the money.
ambluemax
My understanding from a SHOT SHOW video interview of Keith @ DW is that all internals of DW pistols are the same. The differences in price are simply external features (like sights and grips) and finishes. A specialist is on my wish list...and I would say $1400 is an EXCELLENT deal on one. Frank34
I think that they use Ed Brown internals in all the Dan Wesson guns. I have a CCO and it is a very high quality gun.
