I am considering getting the valor but I LOVE that rail.. I hear mixed rumors that the valor has more high end parts on it? Any truth?I don't think there is a part on the Valor that isnt high end. You will not be disappointed, you get a whole lot of pistol for the money.

If you can afford the Dan Wesson, go for it. I have both a STI and a Dan Wesson, love em' both. For the money my DW was a better value, the quality considering price hands down can not be beat.

I do exactly what your wanting to do w/ a 10# spring for minor and a 12# spring for major in my eagle, only difference is I shoot BBI rather than plated

I picked up a CRP Eagle a little over a year ago and have not had a single issue with it, 20K + trouble free rounds. STI bluing will wear in a kydex holster, no avoiding it. If your concerned about that x2 for hard chrome. I fit a gunsmith blank trigger myself and am completely satisfied.

Agreed with all of the above. The Garrets make a fine product, I have a silent thunder fusion for EDCing a glock 26 and it is by far the most comfortable IWB holster I've tried. The quality is second to none

snake belly should be fine, they are standard on at least one Kimber. The problem you may run into is while a MD or SO at one club may see no issue with the panel cuts another club's team may take issue with it. IDPA like to leave a lot open to individual interpretation

Smitty +1 for CompTac. This may be an non-issue but the Tek locks might put it too far out to pass the new silly dowel rule. Unless of course you have a bit more ballast in the middle like I do

I just had a Garret Silent Thunder Solo made for my 26, unbelievably comfortable! The neoprene and leather against the body is the best i can imagine. Single clip stays put and can be removed and replaced a lot easier than you would think. The suede back actually helps to tuck an undershirt back in and stays put really well.

I run Hornady .45 ACP, RCBS 9mm and Dillon .40 dies in my LNL AP The next set of dies I get will be Dillon with out question. I Hate my Hornady dies in .45, they will be replaced before the switch to single stack later this season Just my experience

It's my understanding that is what Dan Wesson's new "Duty Finish" is. I have a Valor with it and it's the nicest black firearm finish I have ever seen. My Valor's slide to frame fit is beautiful by the way, so someone has it perfected

3.4gr WST @ 1.190 makes a nice minor WSF for major

I picked up a Dawson CRP Eagle .40 with a bushing barrel last year and am completely impressed. A little over 5K rounds through it and not a single hiccup.

No problem, and they a far more aggressive than they look in the pic. For me, the angle cuts are such that it really aids in achieving a higher grip as well.

I run a Dawson CRP bushing Eagle in .40, great piece of gear. You won't be disappointed and it will do exactly what you need it for.

Also in the market, I'm wanting to do an RMR cut but would rather do it on a second slide than the original

I have VZ's carbon fiber slants on my Valor. Great feel and grip, plus they look really nice. Well worth the expense in my opinion

I couldn't agree more, Dan Wesson is THE Sweet Spot for 1911's I have a Valor that is beautiful and the ECO is on my very short must have list

whats your opinion of the hand guard to upper transition, funky or not bad? More pics of that woule be really good for me, I'm contemplating the sp3r right now Thanks
