2014 Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge, New Hill NC

Recommended Posts

Made my payment yesterday via PayPal, knew there was a sales tax but was not bothered by the $15 and change because it will cost me more in gas just to get out of my own county. Mr. Sole thank you for all of the work that goes into running an event like this prior to triggers even being pulled. I just got off of the phone with the hotel and appreciate the leg work there as well. Looking forward to getting out of work, meeting new people and the trigger time. I'm in squad 7.

George

Anyone seen the refund policy? Didn't see it listed on the invoice or on the site. Thanks!

Our refund policy is simple...we don't pro rate you out and take portions of your money, that is not something we support! You must cancel on or before March 1st, 2014 for a full refund. However we are also very understanding if something comes up. Our reason for a month out cancelation date is solely to consider those that did not make the match and are sitting on the waitlist.

However after Feb 1st 2014 we will have to issue refunds via company checks...so if you do cancel after Feb 1st, send your address.

Csole-

You've now answered two questions, about NC taxes, and the refund policy, relatively quickly, which is commendable.

However, you have ignored the question posed by T Bacus and myself as to whether there is any way for those of us on the waiting list to determine our position on said list. The email I received said that I am shooter #2809. If that means I'm the 2809th person to sign up for any match since you started using that system, that's one thing. If I'm #2809 in line for one of the 225 slots, well, I might as well just wait for sign ups to open for FN.

Send me you actual name in a PM and I will let you know. The number is significant to invoicing. Also call or email. charles@tarheel3gun.com or 9192017990.

So, any word on target descriptions, distances, and estimated round counts? Particularly with long range rifle...? What's this about Larue's being replaced / reskinned?

Staying tuned...

A good start on the round count would be 200 pistol, 120 shotgun, 10 slugs and 200 rifle...our stage design is unique, we don't tell shooters to stand here and shot this target with this firearm...our flavor of stage design gives you options as to which firearm you select to use. Having said that you wont get a target for target round count, we allow our competitors to play to their strength. It seems to work, in 2013 we held 18 "monthly" matches that averaged 80 plus competitors at each match and one major match last year with little to no concern for stage design...this is not a one off or one and done deal. last week we hand 60 folks..hardcore 3 gunner brave the rain and cold to get their Tarheel3gun fix...just saying

If you want to see what you might run into go to YouTube and type in Tarheel 3 gun...you will see the flavor we have branded...as for the Larues we are fitting them with new 10, 8 and 6 inch plates. So far they all fall with a 9mm at 75 yards, so i am confident a rifle will make them drop without issue. See our goals is to keep this match fresh and we listen and cater to our participates.

" in 2013 we held 18 monthly matches"

18 months in a year if you live in NC? Impressive. :)

I shot the big one last year and looking forward to this year too.

12 monthly Tarheel matches + 4 quarterly “Oxford Tarheel Matches” at The Range in Oxford + 2 matches held at Clinton House in SC equals 18 monthly matches all put together by Mr. Sole and company.

Many thanks to all our sponsors ..the calls from the industry folks have been rolling in... The monthly match foot print of TH3GN is really attracting sponsorship...we are not a one and done event. Our sponsors have perpetual exposure in the 3 gun community.

MUCH love to BUSHMASTER, DPMS, Remington, Para, and AAC for the huge participation in TH3GN..many more to announce soon.

I am certain the 2014 Prize a Table will be nice..we also have cash pay outs for high junior, high lady, high Mil/LE, and side match winners.

Bushmaster will be making an announce in the near future about a MAJOR random drawing ONLY available at the 2014 Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge.

Many thanks to Squad Sign for a wonderful registration system and match management program. Also many thanks to Damon at Woody's Hunt and Rifle Club...the home of the Bushmaster Tarhee3gun Challenge.

Call or email with your question 9192017990 or charles@tarheel3gun.com.

So...should I assume that all of the initial registrants who were dropped for non-payment are done, and those of us still on the waitlist are hoping for onesie-twosie people to drop out for whatever personal reasons so we can get in?

I still have no idea where I am on the wait list.

Trying to find the range this match is on at Google maps.

The link on the web site show at an intersection of Old Christian Chapel Road and Christian Chapel Church Road.

960 Christian Chapel Road New Hill, NC

But in satellite view I don't see any thing that looks like a range, no bays, etc.

Does someone have a link or long/lat coordinates?

Thanks,

Michael

If you are interested in attending other Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun "monthly events" here is a link to our 2014 calendar..http://tarheel3gun.com/the-2014-tarheel-3-gun-calendar/.

We have about 20 events on the books for 2014. The up side to making one of "monthly gigs" is that you would get to experience our flavor of matches and to experience the wonderful facility at Woody's Hunt and Rifle Club. We do online registration for all monthly events (just like the TH3GN Challenge)...they usually fill up quick too.
