Aftermarket Glock frames....any good?

Are the CCF metal frames for Glock any good? Instead of buying a STI for a 3 gun handgun thought the extra weight would be the ticket.

Ccf frames are out of business. The idea was good but they didn't work well with anything but factory parts

You can add a good amount of weight with Zev brass grip plug and brass magwell if rules allow for one.

I think that SJC has a brass magwell that weighs almost 9oz, but the weight isn't going to be out front like on an Edge or something like that

You could also get rid of the plastic guide rod for something heavier like tungsten or Stainless Steel

I think I am going to try the tungsten guide rod with the magwell with brass plug. Going to be running the Glock 17 for 3 gun matches.

I owned on of the CCF frames. Its heavy for sure. You also cannot find a mag well to fit it. Mine was the stainless steel version, and as said before you must use factory glock parts or you will have trouble. I just cannot see the extra weight and if I have to use Glock inside. why not outside as well/

I like my 35 with the brass plug and magwell from Dawson - plus a full length stainless guide rod.

Balance is excellent....
