Primer pickup tubes in bulk

Recommended Posts

Dillon sells their small pickup tubes for $7.99 each or $23.95 for four ($6 each). Does anyone know if they offer any other bulk discount greater than packs of four? I'd like to get some number much larger than 4, like 40-50.

The tubing OD is the same but the ID is different. The $14 tube is rated for 2,900 PSI and has an ID of 0.215 The $30 tube is rated for 3,851 PSI and only 0.183 ID. Higher pressure thicker wall tubing, It would be a tight fit in the high pressure tube. Nominal OD for a small primer is 0.175

Still curious as to why you want so many?

1- I use a Pal-Filler

2-I hate to reload, so when I do it I will take 2-3 hours and load 1000-1500 rounds, case gauge them and box them

3-I also have 2-3 tubes full so if I need to do a quick 200-300 rounds I can

4-just like bullets, primers and powders, more is better I always say

The .215 tube for large primers seems like an OK price for a 6' length but for the smaller primers its almost double the price. I can't seem to find the small primer tube for around the same price as the large primer tube. Anyone know Ifthey sell it?

Partially correct, The issue is just Grainger itself. Order from their subsidary Zorotools and it's much cheaper also you can find coupon codes for Zoro to bring odwn the price futher 11.66 and 12.95 respecitivly . http://www.zorotools.com/g/00056376/k-4NTD2/ http://www.zorotools.com/g/00056376/k-4NTD3/

To resurrect an old thread,

I ordered 2-6' lengths of tube for large pistol primers from McMaster  Part # 89965K39 stating it's the same # as 89965K471.

https://www.mcmaster.com/89965K39  ID .215"  Got them in and the ID was .211 primer wouldn't even fit. I called them and said he would measure them himself before the replacement shipped, and the next delivery was the same!

Come to find out Grainger has 1" lengths 5-16" OD with .214 ID.  $2.76 each.

https://www.grainger.com/product/GRAINGER-APPROVED-Tubing-48KU65

the tube wall seems a little thicker, but it works great and saves the trouble of cutting down a 6" tubes!

Tube on the left is from Grainger.
