ltdmstr
N320.
superdude
N320 might get the prize for cleanest burning, or at least in at the top contenders. I use lots of 231 in the 9mm. It is reasonably clean, reliable, and works for a wide range of bullet weights. e3 might be another powder to consider - it is billed as very clean, but load data is a little lacking except there is some data on this website if you search. bodene 5
i use 231 now in a mp fs 9 seems a bit dirty 3.4 with a 147 lfp
superdude
The lfp might be contributing to the dirtiness. This is especially true if it is cast with lube in the lube groove, as opposed to a moly coated bullet - though maybe moly is as dirty - I don't know since i rarely shoot moly, but people claim it's cleaner than traditionally lubed cast. But the lube of typical cast bullets is absolutely filthy. And the lube creates lots of smoke as well.

superdude
yes it is a cast with lube dang dirty As dirty as lubed cast bullets are, I don't know if you'll see much of a difference changing powders. Maybe, but maybe not. Cast bullets gunk up a gun faster than anything.
Service Desk
In this order... N330, N320, Universal and Power Pistol. All perform really well, cleanliness is excellent to acceptable. YMMV
Croomrider
N320 is very clean and gives very soft recoil as well. Mike
Yelrdog
I have great luck w/ IMR 700-X. Not very commonly used. More of a shotgun powder but really clean. I use 4.4 gr w/ FMJ or plated 124 gr projectiles. Fills the case nicely.
