magnum primers in 9MM

Got some sm pistol magnum primers in error. If I use a few grains of powder less in my normal load would it work ok regular load is 147 Berry's over 3.2 gr Titegroup in 9mm

I hope you mean a few tenths of a grain and not a few grains. Otherwise, bring a mallet and a brass rod

I use Winchester Small Rifle primers. They are a little harder and do not get pierced by the firing pin. Their ignition compound burns just a slight bit hotter.

I've interchanged magnum and regular small pistol primers quite a bit. No appreciable difference. But always be safe, drop the load a couple of tenths and chrono.

Last time there was a big ammo rush around the 08 election about the only small primers we get where small magnum pistol primers. I shot thousands of them through my .40 with no problems.

If your gun fires them, you will not notice any difference. I didn't.
