Chuck D Posted July 19, 2004 Share Posted July 19, 2004 After 5 months of searching for a job...I finally landed one. I accepted a Campus Police position with my former College. It's a Civil Service position and you work for the County as well as the Sheriffs Department. Hours are 3 to 11 pm. These hours are perfect for me, now I'm able to use my grants and scholarships to complete my education AND i'm able to continue shooting on the weekends ! God really does answer prayers. One thing I find interesting...my supervisor is at the Academy this week for firearms recertification (qualifying). Having gone to the school for 2 and a half years, I never saw an armed Officer BUT it is now clear that some are. Today is my first day (3 to 11 pm). Nervous and anxious all at the same time.
