sperman
A few weeks ago I stumbled across a post or an e-mail that sent me to a 1911 being developed by (I think) one of the big name custom shops. This was a gun designed for Bianchi, and the barrel appeared to be locked to the frame. It looked like a blowback design, but the text on the web site said it wasn't. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Did I dream this? I've searched the forum and my e-mails but haven't been able to come up with anything. sperman
This was something currently being produced. I think it was for NRA AP or Bianchi.
Action Pistolero
The only one that I can think of is the Hogue Avenger. It locks to the frame like a Marvel conversion.
DWFAN
Wasnt there at one time someone who shot an AP open gun that had a frame mounted bushing system ? Doug shoots something like this, doesnt he? a frame or shroud mounted comp/bushing ? Edited March 24, 2012 by DWFAN
davidwiz
Doug Koenig was using a Wolf back in around 2002 for Bianchi. Only problem is the thing didn't work, and cost him the match. Fixed barrel, blow-back action, very accurate, very unreliable.
