MT Gold CMJ ?

It's what I use since some of my other 9mm guns don't like the JHP. I never used the MG 124 JHP so I can't compare them but I did see a post on here a few months about that comparison. Nothing significant...

Has anyone tried the MT Gold in 9mm 124gr CMJ for a major load? With a complete metal jacket around theses, any reason to keep using JHP?

Joe

A few guys I shoot with use them. They are great.

I shoot them in major with no issues. You can load longer with FMJs but with JHP, you get more bullet in the case.

I've had no problems running them at 1.160 under 124 CMJ's with 8.2 grains of HS-6.

Reason I went with CMJ is that there is no lead exposed at the bottom

of the bullet. Clean compensator! accurate as JHP. Since its round nose,

reliability of feeding in the ramp is 100%..I never looked back. My chrono in

9major have reached up to 1450s fps with IMR 7625 or autocomp, no problem.

I'm shooting the same bullet. What charge are you using with the Autocomp to make Major?

I tried them in my 9mm open gun that shoots under an inch at 25 yards, with Zero, 125 grain, jhps, and with the CMJs it grouped about 3".

Same here with 115gr and 124gr CMJ´s, both around 2.5" @25 :(

MG JHP´s shoot little better than CMJ´s but Zero JHP´s go into one ragged hole all the time from KKM 5.4".

My gun feeds all of those without any issues, but Zero´s are hard to find and I am shooting MG these days.
