Set up: Glock 34 frame, lone wolf slide, lone wolf threaded barrel, 11lb recoil spring, shooting a minor load. I had a double charge, the damage to the gun appeared to be only the extractor. I replaced all of the slide parts. The barrel showed no signs of trauma. Now, about 30% of the time the gun will not extract the shell casing from the barrel causing a malfunction. (see picture) If I drop the mag the slide goes forward and when I rack the slide the shell is ejected as normal. Test results: I put a G34 factory barrel in the LW slide and the gun functions 100%. I put the LW barrel in a G34 factory slide and the gun functions 100% Put the LW barrel in the LW slide, malfunction returns. Puzzle: Barrel or Slide creating the problem????

Anyone using an extended firing pin? I cant get my pull below 7.5 lbs and ignite 100% with Federal primers. How did you guys get your pulls down to 5 lbs?

You guy's are the best! Thank you for the great replies.

Looking for advise on the purchase of a holster, belt and moonclip/mag holders for a S&W 625 and a Glock 17 for IDPA. Also appareal pants/vest

Why do people seem to favor the 38spl over the 357 for a 627? (I do reload) Ive looked for the answer but no luck.
-
Are you going to load 357 or 38spl in your 627? and why one over the other?
-
I picked up a 627 PC today. 357/38spl. Is there any advantage to using one or the other for reloading and shooting? I am going to use the gun primarily for steel and some IPSC for a change from my Brazo open gun. I am looking for some load data major/minor. I also own a JM 625 that I would like to shoot IDPA with, I also need recommendations for that load. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for all the quick input. I found the instructions stuffed at the bottom of the box. It states 10" - 16" past the tube. I cut it at 12" seems better.

I installed a Nordic +6 on a Mossberg 930 SPX. The spring seems a bit tight and harder to load. Has anyone cut some coils off to make it lighter? If so how many?

How about shooting a 9mm bullet out of a 38SC case? They both measure the same diam. .355

I started with a Open G35 but soon realized that to be competitive I had to go to 9mm Major, so I built my G34 (all SJC products) shot it two seasons. I got better with it but then seem to hit a wall. I just bought a Brazo Pro SX and am looking forward to next season. You might want to try HS6 for powder it burns slower than Titegroup, better for your comp. Good luck.

I am in the market for a new IPSC OPEN gun. The rub is I want to stay with 9mm. I shoot an Open Glock 34 now and will continue to use it for steel challenge and as a backup. I prefer buying new. I am looking for input deciding between the CZ 75TS Checkmate and a STI Trubor. Any input will be welcome.

Thanks Guys,

Is it better to have a light bullet and hotter load or a heavy bullet and a light load for shooting falling plates? S&w 625 4" barrel

Nice job doing it with hand files. I was trying to figure how to do it on my mini milling machine. Sorry wrong guy. Any pictures of your job?

Could I ask what tool you used?

It was stated on the back Mossberg package that had the "modified" flush choke in it.

I Shoot Open Div. I just replaced my 18.5" on my SPX with a 24" ported Accu Choke barrel. Other than a ported barrel putting me in the Open Div, is there any other reason not to have ports? Can anyone tell me exactly which Nordic tube I need to order to increase my capacity to 10+1 verses the 7+1 I have now? Should I bother to have my 18.5" barrel choked? If I add a Extended choke to this barrel will it shoot like a 20" barrel? Has anyone shot slugs through a Mossberg modified choke? The paper work state's "no slugs". Thanks for your input.
-
Does anyone know the thread size of an accu choke tube? Mossberg claims it is .8125-32 seems big.
-
Dick, Did you happen to ask for the part number for that barrel?
-
How easy would it be to add a timer with a digital readout to the circuit?

Any new Input on the Mossberg 930 spx ($600.)that is not in the search results? It seems crazy to spend $1000.00 on a shotgun that I'm only going to use a couple times a year. Thanks Guy's Joe
