BigTinVA
Can't you default your device and enter a new password into it? Or are there other settings that would be wiped out that you don't know how to re-establish?

BritinUSA
Go to Applications/Utilities/Keychain and search for the name of your WiFI. It should be in there, click the box to show password

wgnoyes
I guess we need to be clear as to which password is to be recovered; there are two. One password is used to log into the router's self-contained web site so that you can adjust settings for it, and the other password for a wireless connection to be made (WEP, WPA, etc). You need the former to set the latter. Sounds like you just need to reset the router back to factory settings and start over.

wgnoyes
(google search on what? how is google going to know what your router ip is?) By the way, being a new apple person, I used to be able to open up a cmd window and type ipconfig /all to get the local address of my router. What do I do under osX? JThompson
Im having the same problem. How do I go back to default? Hit the reset button? Should be able to hold the reset button in while power cycling the device. Most of them you just hold the reset button for 10-15 secs and the lights all go out or turn color. At that point you can release it and get back into your router with the default Ip, username and pass. Some have different address, so you may have to search on which your uses.
