Paul-the new guy Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Your actions now will effect the future. RH Nice. Stop to pick up a piece of trash and you change the course of your life. be or were you predetermined to pick up the piece of trash and in reality that is the course of your life... are we truly of free will or is the entire stage of our life already laid out?

Are the decisions you make really "decisions"?
Erik S. Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 You did not specifically say any "specific" rules....only "general" rules!! Free book, here I come!
benos Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Well, we're getting down to it. I thinking that my opening posts in the "make it a general rule" thread may have gotten y'all on the wrong track. Bang bang.
Custom Rust Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I pretend I am in the general lee whenever I drive. Maybe that's why you were thinking about generals and rules. Make it a general rule to avoid Rosco.
sdm74 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) To have balance in life... For every action there is a reaction .. Yin Yang.... Edited March 26, 2011 by sdm74
RangeHooligan Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 If a general rule is made for tasks that need to be accomplished, these rules may be exercised when they are needed, without any hindrance or delay caused by conscious thought. RH
Pro-Pain Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Train yourself so you do things in the sobconcious. Make it a best practice to react, not act
Paul-the new guy Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 What did I specifically not say in this thread? Whoever answers what I'm thinking first will be the winner. be what kind of motorcycle you have?
Erik S. Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 You said to "let the people you love know you love them", but did NOT say to "let the people you hate know that you hate them". Was the "bang bang" a hint?

alpha-charlie Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I read the original post again. It seems to go along with how you associate motorcycle riding with shooting in your book. Seeing what's going on ahead of you and being aware of everything else (car pulling from a parked position, changing lanes, police car pulling up behind you, etc.) is the same type of awareness that is used in shooting a stage (swingers, drop-outs, transitions to the next target array or shooting position.)
Sarge Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I really hope someone gets this one soon. LOL How much is it to buy a book anyway?
Erik S. Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I really hope someone gets this one soon. LOL How much is it to buy a book anyway? Less than the amount of hourly pay you would have earned for your time spent reading this site! But there is NO substitute for this drug called "Brian's Forums"
benos Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 We're running out of time... See what you need to see. I could have had that in my head as the answer. But I didn't. So if no one posts what I was thinking you will be the winner.
sirveyr Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Okay okay okay! Whatever! Diehli wins the book. Hooray him! Now, Brian, PLEASE explain!
Pro-Pain Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Learn to concentrate on what you need to see. Ignore the background, focus on your target. Don't be distracted by what all is happening around, focus on the then-and-now of the situation at hand.
Erik S. Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Don't see what you don't need to see or what's not important...especially while shooting a stage!
GONZO!!! Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 WAIT... "See what you need to see" ...hmmmm....I know Brian preaches that at times...however I seem to remember J Michael Plaxco saying that in his book from years ago... Is that the book we get to win?!!!! I know, I'm off track...couldn't help myself GONZO!!!
Erik S. Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 One more day!! Awaiting an update from Brian to see if anyone got it.
benos Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 Was the "bang bang" a hint? Maybe. Okay, yes. We're running out of time... See what you need to see. I could have had that in my head as the answer. But I didn't. So if no one posts what I was thinking you will be the winner. Make it general rule to ____ _____ ____. That's gotta give it away.
