  1. Brian, As of this week, I am not able to access your blog. When I click on the link to read your entry, a Word Press Error pops up. Also, the older links on your blog are also throwing the same error. Any idea how this may be resolved? Cheers, RH
  2. JD1979, I feel your pain. The practice match and the scored match they used to have at Prado, as itchy mentioned, was great and is now greatly missed. There is non-reactive steel, accuracy based, Virginia count match held at the Palm Springs Gun Club on the 4th Saturday of every month. It's called the Speeding Zone II. It's not a Bianchi match but offers several diverse gun handling challenges along with some challenging accuracy demanding stages as well. Check it out if you get the chance. Cheers, RH
  3. Jim, Are the Zeros's .356 while the Campro's are .355? RH
  4. Meister Bullets also makes a slug kit that provides an array of slugs, lube and wooden dowels to help get you squared away. RH
  5. RPM8300, those are nice 20 yard groups! What is the velocity of both the 147's and 165's? RH
  6. Any chance the crimp die is over doing what's needed? I know this sounds bass-ackwards but I have seen over crimping cause the brass to deform just enough to prevent proper chambering. This may have not been appearant when using soft lead as your bullet. RH
  7. B_RAD, will they drop into the chamber of your barrel? RH
  8. Kimberkid, Is the striker channel in Gun A clean and dry all the way up to the breech face? Fouling and residue, as well as lube may be preventing the firing pin to travel as intended. For Gun B, perhaps the engagement of the firing pin tang and trigger bar/cruciform is not sufficient for safe reset, causing doubling/tripling etc. Could the pretravel/overtravel adjustments need tuning? RH
  9. A work of art! How does it shoot? RH
  10. LawDog, do they go into and then drop out of the chamber of the barrel from the pistol you will be firing them from? If so' you should be good to go. I haven't used Blue Bullets but if they are coated lead they probably are larger than .355, which is what your MG's are sized, and will not completely seat in your drop gauge. RH
  11. Michael, I've have not run across a case gauge made specifically to accommodate the issue of lead/coated bullets that measure larger than their jacketed counter parts. However, one could remove their barrel from their pistol and perform the kerplunk-drop check test in the chamber they will actually be using their ammo in. Cheers, RH
  12. Brian, finish the 2nd season and then share your thoughts. Interesting to see some of the back story on the BB characters and hypothesize what will happen next. Just got to let it continue to unfold. Cheers, RH
  13. DenverDave, is it possible that your high primers are a result of debris on the press (ie. spent primers) not allowing the platform to bottom out enough for the primers to be seated? The good thing about it is it's an easy fix but can be frustrating if it's not caught right away. RH
  14. RenoShooter, Your current zero is 8.3 yards, perhaps if you often are shooting at targets at 50 yards you may want to change your zero to 35 yards. RH
  15. AF, if you still have the factory extended slide release on the pistol, any chance you're activating the slide release with your support hand as you're shooting? Has the pistol been taken apart recently and perhaps the slide release not properly reinstalled? RH
  16. RIP Todd. Condolences to his family. For years I have used the Drills from his site and always hoped I would some day be able to train with him and thank him for providing us all with tools to facilitate our improvement. He will be missed. RH
  17. I feel your pain Quick Miss, TruGrip was good stuff. Manny Bragg had something comparable to TruGrip a while back and now he is selling a three pack of grip kits that may square you away. Check it out at, http://mannybragg.com/products/grip-tape-for-glock-pistols. Let us know how it works out if you do check it out. Cheers, RH
  18. Did the issue of your pistol shooting left occur after you replaced the rear sight that Glock sent you to remedy it from shoot high? RH
  19. Aircooled6racer, It's worth it for the pistol owner to give Sig a ring and find out for sure. If the part is in stock, then they will be set. Else, they can work on another solution. Being without your X-5 is a bummer! Cheers, RH
  20. Aircooled6racer, same thing happened to my X-5 a few years back and Sig sent me a new one no charge, so check with them first and see if they can get you squared away. Else, like taadski mentioned Top Gun Supply is your best bet for Sig parts, provided they're in stock. Cheers RH
  21. Irdchaos, I've got the X-5 competition model in 9mm. I wanted a pistol chambered in 9mm for some accuracy games that are held at a couple of the clubs I frequent. The main issue I have with the pistol is with the extractor problems I've had since owning it. Initially, the pistol ran like a top. However, after about 5K through the pipe the extractor hook broke off of the extractor. I called sig and they sent me a new one that I installed. I was unaware that this part had been considered the Achilles heal of this particular model, but since it happened to me I started to become enlightened that many X-5's have suffered the same fate. Although, the new part they sent works it is not 100% reliable, like the original was until it crashed and burned. The other issue I have is that over the course of the last few years, I have noticed that instead of grouping nice tight consistent groups, the pistol will throw the first manually cycled round several inches low. However, the rest of the rounds in the mag will be grouped. Currently, the pistol is at Gray Guns for Bruce to do that magic that he does, and get it back to working like intended. Had I known about the extractor issue before I made the purchase, I may have went another route. RH
  22. Nimitz, What You said, "there is only the shooting, nothing else matters .... results always take care of themselves..." That is Poetry! Thanks, RH
  23. ES13Raven, I only have a top two and they are Starline and Winchester, respectively. After that whatever I come across and is still sound is put to use. RH
  24. galt11, is this issue happening with all the rounds that you are loading or just an occasional round? You mentioned you are using random range brass, so is it possible that some of the brass you have collected is unable to be properly resized due to previous overuse and or abuse? Have you tried loading with new or once fired brass? RH
