Single vs Double Stage Trigger

What are your takes on Single vs Double/Two Stage triggers for the AR15 (those dedicated to 3G)..which is optimal and why? Or is it just personal comfort level?

I think most people will say a single. I personally prefer a double as after the first shot in the same position I release it to reset just like my G17.

Single.

I like two stage triggers in precision setups, but single is the way to go for a run & gun setup.

A nice Timney trigger works for me.

AR Gold. Drop in. Replaceable. Technically a two stage, but it is fast.

both are good viable triggers, it just depends on what you like. I use both depending on which rifle i'm shooting at the time, M1A-2 stage

JP LRP07-1 stage, LaRue OBR-2 stage, LaRue AR-1 stage, each work well.

I like two stage triggers. They make a difference for me at long range. Short range...single vs two stage doesn't matter much.

single stage for me. 2stages triggers are something ive not played with much and feel too weird.

Never did understand a 2 stage trigger. When I pull the trigger, I want it to go bang right now, now after a while. I work very hard at getting all my handguns to have a "single stage" trigger also.

Single stage with a little creep and a sharp break is what I like. great for hosing but still a little take up for those long shots.

To me, Trick Pony's setup would be unsat - sort of worst of both. I like either/or so I guess I like both. With long range precision I would give a slight preference to 2 stage. For 3-gun I would def go for the JP single. Short range hosing I can tell no difference.
