I used to live in the area of the match though, no prob, plenty of hotels, just need to get a room. Anyone need/want to split a room at Area 4? I'll also be driving to Bossier City from the North Texas area (Wichita Falls), passing through Dallas on the way, and could give someone a lift if they need it....... sfinney Posted May 3, 2004 Share Posted May 3, 2004 There are MANY hotels in the $45 to $150 range in Bossier City (where the match hotels are) - I just got a 2 Double Bed room at the Red Carpet Inn which is on the same street roughly the match hotels are at for under $50 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday. There isn't really much of anything really that much closer to the match than the motels around the mall area off of Airline Drive, so anything in that area gets you about 15 minutes to the range. Of course you could always stay at one of the Casinos if money is no object, but maybe they would freak out with people toting guns in and out ? My understanding is that the RO's shoot Thursday and everyone else starts shooting Friday morning. The number for the Best Western is 318-742-6000. Shooter Grrl Posted May 4, 2004 Share Posted May 4, 2004 I was really looking forward to this match but have decided not to go due to a couple of things... first, 5 days (with travel) is too long, second, the match fees seem like hiway robbery and you add both of those with the ho-hum stages (WALLS AND PORTS AGAIN?) it's just not worth it to go. My traveling buddy will not be going with me due to some personal reasons, so I have a room with 2 beds all to myself and no one to split the cost with. If anyone is interested let me know.
