goosedowner
I would like to load some 160gr lead bullets ( http://www.thebulletworks.net/160-gr-9mm-Round-Nose-bullet-p/09-160%20rn.htm) I'm currently using WSF and VV N320, does anyone have any loading data for this bullet and the powders I'm using? Thanks Lee
M109R
I shoot that bullet and love it. I use 2.7g of Solo 1000 for 130 power factor.
98sr20ve
I use 3.1 grs with a 155gr lead bullet. My new lot is slow. Before that I was at 2.9 grs. 1.080 OAL.
Bob DuBois
Thumbs Up on the 160 lead bullet and 2.7 Solo 1000. I loaded OAL to 1.135. Very Pleased!
waktasz
Hey Goosedowner, Did you ever come up with a n320 load for your 160gr bullets?
Fireant
Any new N320 data with a 160?
Jaxshooter
Roger let me know if you come up with something. I am working on a new load for my 627 38 Super revolver. A 160 gr bullet would be nice.
Fireant
I just got some 160 Bayou's sized to .356 and they really look nice. I can't wait for this weekend(or maybe Wed.) to try them.
waktasz
160 gr billy bullet with 2.9 gr n320 made 136pf in my M&P pro Edited April 12, 2011 by waktasz
Fireant
160 gr billy bullet with 2.9 gr n320 made 136pf in my M&P pro What OAL was that? I'm going to try some starting at 2.5 gr and chrono this afternoon. Without changing anything but the powder drop on the 1050 the 160 grain bullet comes out at 1.165 OAL where my Zero 147's were 1.
waktasz
Same here. I go between a MG 147 and these Billy 160s and only change the powder. MG is 1.121 and Billy is 1.166.
Fireant
2.4 of N320 loaded to 1.165 with the Bayou 160 gr had a 10 shot average of 750fps for a 120 power factor. I'll bump it to 2.7 and try again on Sat. These things are stupid soft.
waktasz
Out of what gun? 2.7 didn't make it for me. 2.9 did, and I'm going to chrono some 2.8 tomorrow, but chances are it will be too close to 125 to use in a match.
Fireant
Out of a 5 inch STI 1911. It has a really slow barrel. I'll probably load some 2.7 and 2.9 and try.

CiDirkona
Oooorly. I wonder if I could make this boolit out of Lee's 358 158gr boolit trimmed down to 357...
twodownzero
I definitely need to try this load this summer. I tried the 200s in .40 major and they didn't really feel any softer, but the 147s are already super soft; I imagine that the 160s will be even softer. CiDirkona
Has anyone tried these bullets with PowerPistol, or should I stick with a faster powder?
Fireant
I chronoed 10 rounds today with 2.7 gr N320 loaded to 1.166OAL. They averaged 820 feet per second for a 131.2 PF. They are stupid soft and not sluggish at all. Now to check my zero and take them to a match.
