Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Here is the link to my photoreport from the WS XVI ShootOff. Lots of US team shooters pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/109148076574922691393/IPSCWSXVIShootOffByErik Congrats to winners!
  2. I've never tried Techwear shirts and I'm sure they are of great quality. But I've ordered my shooting jersey from G2Gemini and don't regret it. The jersey is of excellent quality, design and performance, very light, breathable and moisture vicking. It really keeps you cool in hot days. I've ordered ready made design for STI with additional logos. Also, good thing about G2Gemini is that they don't need written proof from each of your sponsors with permission to wear they logos, just tick the box in order form. Design approval took only a week and in three weeks the jersey was shipped. And good addition is matching hoodye Statement: I'm not promoting this company, just sharing my positive experience.
  3. I also use micrometer insert. Seems to me that the numbers are for your reference only, to remember what combination of digits refers to your desired powder charge. It can't show your actual charge weight, because all powders has different shape and weight, so in the same wolume different powder brands will make different weight. Just my thoughts...
  4. Just came back from range with chrono results, here is my blend: gun - STI TruSight 5" barrel, chambered 9x19 Luger, mags 38super bullet - ARES colored 161grn, sized .356 http://www.ares-gun.sk/?lang=english powder - VV N320, 3.1grn primer - Federal SMP Nr.200 brass - Magtech OAL - 1.24" avg speed - 810fps power factor - 130 Reecoil feels nice and soft Hope this info helps. Regards, Erik
  5. Big thanks to you guys for posting this LEE setup info. That thing is amazing and it really works! Fills the tube in a couple of seconds. Especially when it's cheaper than dirt. My regards to Dillon primer filler. P.S. Looking forward to see some homemade case feeder design for LNL AP, as cheap and as easy to make like primer filler.
  6. Hi Eric, Have a look at this link with my post #25: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101535 There are pictures with my setup for LNL AP that could help to answer your questions. I've loaded over 10K of 9x19, not a single broken part. But it is good to have some spare springs and don't need them, than the other way. Powderfunnel works great, but I'm not sure that it will fit .223 Regards, Erik
  7. Here is my solution for Hornady L-N-L AP 5 station setup for 9x19: 1st. Resize and decap (Hornady) 2st. PTX and Hornady powder charge (PTX from Powderfunnels.com) 3st. Powder Check Die (Dillon) 4st. Bullet seating (Hornady) 5st. Crimp (LEE Factory Crimp Die) As many times prowed - Hornady PTX doesn't work. So I've tried PTX from Powderfunnels.com and it works perfectly, with easy setup process. You can easily adjust case mouth expanding as much as you need. Dillon Powder Check Die is probably the best thing on the market to monitor powder charges. Needs little fitting job to work on L-N-L, but it is not that hard if you have Dremel at hand. Also Dillon Primer Early Warning is attached, works great. This set-up works flawlessly for me, hope this will help for someone else. Best regards, Erik
  8. Thanks to you all guys for useful info and help! Great forum! Friendly people!
  9. Question to those of you who have experience using Federal Small Magnum Pistol #200 primers for 9x19 minor loads. Are there any advantages/disadvantages vs Federal Small Pistol #100 primers, any change in PF? Price is the same. I'm asking this because I found in Federal 2009 Ammunition&Ballistics catalog that they use only #200 primers for 9x19 cartridges, which they load themselves. If they do so for theyr ammo, maybe there is some reason behind it? Please share your experience. Thanks
  10. Hi Jeff686, What brand is your dies? Are there a big difference between Hornady, LEE or Redding? I'm asking because of your experience with L-N-L, need advice on dies purchase (brand and models) for 9x19, please. Also I've heard that smaller pistol metering insert is sufficient for exact powder loads, is that true? Appreciate your valued reply. Best regards.
  11. Just yesterday I've finished fitting job on my new alu grip. This is a great item to upgrade your gun. P.S. My first post, sorry. I wanted to upload an image of my race gun, but with no success Are there any magic word? Advice is appreciated.
