  1. Welcome to the forum. Lots of knowledge in here
  2. Welcome to the forum. Lots of awesome knowledge in here
  3. Welcome to the community! Always nice to see new shooters!
  4. I know they make replacement slide stops and take down levers that are thumbrests
  5. I got a berry who works offshore and is gone two weeks out of the month. Can’t even touch a gun the entire time. Comes back and slays.
  6. Perhaps an outlaw match where the rules are slightly different but nothing Sanctioned I can think of. Some single action clubs are allowing people to run 22lr with the ammo and components being like they are.
  7. I bring hand warmers and a small propane heater to matches. I try my best to keep my hand somewhat warm while ROing and when I’m next in line I’ll turn on my mini heater and warm my hand over it until it’s time for me to step up to the line then I make ready as quickly as possible lol
  8. Hunters HD gold are the gold standard for uspsa shooters it seems.
  9. You basically just answered it. A bump transition is where after your last trigger pull ton the target you transition as the gun is recoiling.
  10. Enough conscious effort in practice will make it a subconscious act.
  11. I can’t complain much. Sure there’s some things I wish were different for some of the divisions but there’s so many different divisions that I just went and found one I liked the best and that’s now the one I shoot.
  12. Trick is to not push at 100%. If you can comfortably shoot at 90% the whole match and stay consistent then you’ll place fairly well
  13. Main thing at your first match is to go and soak up knowledge. Shoot safely and don’t DQ. Talk to folks there and get to know the community. Make sure you paste and reset.
  14. Just wanted to make a small post introducing myself. I’ve been browsing this sight since I started uspsa 2 years ago. Found a lot of useful info on here over that two years. I’m primarily a uspsa shooter. I use to shoot steel Challenge a fair amount but have moved to uspsa only as I want to get to be the best that I can be in that disciple. I hold 4 M class divisions in steel and I’m A class open production and CO in uspsa. I only shoot open division these days. Looking forward to engaging in some interesting discussions with everyone in here.
  15. I would zero it at the distance that will give you the least amount of offsets
  16. I’ve shot one of my buddies limited pistols and it felt very much like shooting a production pistol with 130ish pf loads
  17. I just find what grip pressures work for me and shoot.
