Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. That makes sense. I too don’t really feel a solid wall but I’ve come to like a smooth rolling break on a Glock, which this gives me now. Trying to chase a real “wall” always seemed like a fools errand. This is interesting though.
  2. Seems like that would raise the pull weight. I’m sure that’s not the intended purpose of the change though??? I installed one of these in a Gen 5 19x yesterday using the standard dot connector. Initially it was very gritty on take up. Had to do quite a bit of tweaking on the connector and smoothing of contact points. I still have a good bit of contact on the trigger bar against the slide stop and frame but it’s tolerable now. I haven’t measured but I’d guess it’s somewhere around 3 lbs with the silver trigger spring. Reset and function is fine. I’ll be honest, I didn’t care for it initially but after tweaking, greasing contacts points and breaking it in a little, I really like it now.
  3. My Impact Sports seem to do a decent enough job for me. Max Michel uses Pro Ears and I’d guess they work well for him at a little higher price. With that said, In order for me to build any real speed I couldn’t wait around listening for hits. I would make sure I had that decent sight picture, pull the trigger and move on to the next.
  4. Such solid advice. I tend to only do live fire practice once a month due to ammo constraints and since adopting this mindset very recently, my dry fire practice yields far better results. Rather than working the drills just because, I’m able to set a tangible goal and work it until I commit it to subconscious and improve the problem. THEN I may even setup a more realistic drill with full size targets that works that certain skill on the range and STILL dry fire it for a while before live firing it.
  5. I think I hit at least two of those this past weekend.
  6. Hey folks. New member here from TN. I’ve been shooting IDPA for several years with a few USPSA matches sprinkled in. I made IDPA master around 2018, had a kid at the end of the year and then took a break from shooting sports. Shot my first USPSA match after three years yesterday. I shot the match like a B but made A on the classifier stage. Looking forward to soaking up some knowledge from this forum on the way to GM! -Ben
