My God, was that guy nutz or something...????!!!!! I find this scenario completely hard to believe! Unfortunately it is very true and a well known story in my local area. If you knew the gun store owner you would not have a hard time with this story at all He is a little nutty.

I have a story - This guy came into a local gun shop he was wearing blue jeans and a shirt and asked for small automatic and told the clerk what he wanted. It just so happened that the clerk was the gun store owner. The man purchased the small handgun and walked out. The owner of the gun shop then called the police. He filed a stolen gun report and told them the persons name that had just purchased the gun in the store. They went straight to the persons job and asked him what was going on before they arrested him. He pulled out the receipt for the gun and the police saw that he had indeed bought and paid for the gun in full. They went back to the store owner and told him to be more careful before he accused a "Police Officer" of stealing guns from him!! Ya think he needs a doctor for that short term memory loss?

Most STI Factory Race Guns need a little tender care from a gunsmith to be tuned correctly. I suggest taking your guns to a gunsmith familiar with STI race guns and get them tuned. This should stop most or all of your problems along with tuned mags from a number of companies.

Like Mike said it was a long HOT day with every stage a large round count event. Awesome stages - Workers driving around asking you if you needed drinks - some of the best food I have had a match!! This match was awesome to shoot and the RO's must have been the hardest working and professionally mannered RO's I have see in a long time!!! Thank you guys for working so hard to put on a great event!!!! :cheers: THIS IS A MUST SHOOT NEXT YEAR!!!

WOW! What a story but it is not a surprise to me how your fellow shooters acted. Please drink enough fluids BEFORE you get to the match as when you get to the match it is almost too late. I have had run in's with the South Texas Heat and I assure you popular drinks on the market before the match with a cold towel around your neck will surely solve your issue. Thanks for sharing a great story and being a part of the shooting community!!!!

I did not see allot of people - I was in a cloud of smoke after my gun lugs sheared off my gun! You will need more than that revolver to get me Maybe we can catch up at the Texas Open!

This was my first Mississippi Classic and I can tell you it was a great match. Great stages, great RO's and Staff, Great food and the match hotel was rocking throwing distance. The stages were first rate and fun to shoot. We will be back next year for sure and recommend this match to all shooters!! Now if I can not have my barrel lug shear off my gun next year it will be a perfect trip!
