  1. Uh, not to be the bearer of probably bad news but as the old saying goes........ If you see one you have a dozen. I found my brood with a nice condo development under the fridge.
  2. Only for a noob that has asked for the help. With my shooting contact in I normally can't see a hit at 10 yards so I need to either call my shots as best I can (good) or wait for the ding and hope I didn't post it. (bad) I still routinely leave plates and shoot the same one 2 or 3 times. Can you say "keep on practicing?"
  3. Yup, that was what I was thinking. Hell, I'd bet my bolt action Mauser could take him down if he tried that in combat. Still, I am intrigued by the technology and it will doubtless be an airshow favorite.
  4. SwweEEEEEEeett! Now imagine it with a matching big-assed magwell!
  5. My parents had one of these and I hated the freakin thing. Stunk like a corpse, and produced more fruit than the limbs could support so I would have to go over and climb up into the tree to prune it and take down extra fruit. Plus the extra joy of twisting my ankle a couple times a year on dropped, rotten fruit. My mom just loved that tree for some damn reason. I think the new owners cut it down a month after my folks moved out.
  6. Oh yeah, Tull! Forgot about them. Saw them right after Aqualung came out in '71 or 72. Great live performance!!.
  7. It's sorta like being pregnant..... there ain't no barely. Either you is or you isn't! Congrats guy!!
  8. Finally, finally, an advantage to being a lefty in this sport!
  9. Sorry for your loss bro'.
  10. Wow, great post Henning! I really like knowing why one thing is better than another. Also a big thanks for carrying the TJ brass at such a great price. Once the open blaster arrives and I shoot my first 2K you can bet I'll be ordering my next lot of brass from you. Oh, and you are prohibitited from ever switching to another platform. Ha!!
  11. You mean it broke and fell off and has since been put to good use right? Sorry, but I had a shovelhead in my youth and the experience left me scarred!
  12. I'm thinking a nice long burning powder with some hot dogs and you'll have a great weinie roast!! Damn nice looking guns. That V8 in black doesn't look half bad either. edited to add.... And what's the scoop on the slide racker?
  13. thats my "f*#k off prisoner, and go back to your cell " look LOL I thought it was your "You meant to say perfect double Alpha instead of Alpha Mike, right?" look. Sweet shirt guy. I've just got to finish mocking it up on my doodle pad and I'll get started on mine.
  14. I'm pretty sure I read something that Angus posted saying he shoots about 80k rounds a year.
  15. For me even more than that I hate hypocrisy.
  16. Hell, I just sent my application in to work at that club. Have you seen the price of bullets lately??
  17. Yeah, I am going to have to get one of those. I'll have to wait until after the open gun comes unless I can turn the volume off. I'm afraid I might get the NR rating, particullarly with weighted spinning Texas Death Stars. That thing looked like a freaking propeller to me!!!!
  18. But only if Neomet does too! Bro' you better put the XD away and start working on your index with that Brazos. Henning is finishing up a custom open blaster for me as we speak and I can not wait. Just got back from another forray into the oh so blurry world of iron sight shooting at Tuesday Night Steel. It was painful, although my point shooting skills are doubtless improving, OPEN!!!! And I have at least even money that Ms. Neomet will follow suit.
  19. Vote now??? No caucauses, no primaries, no incessant ads, analysis or mud slinging? You need to be in charge of politics as well as all things Tanfoglio!
  20. Hmmm, tough one. Gotta agree with PAS44 on ELP Welcome back my friends. They played it after an intermission (remember those?) Not a pure pick though as this was back in my young, dumb, chemically altered days. Peter Frampton in what was it?? '76? The whole concert was magical, in no small part due to the audience. Nora Jones a couple of years ago. I have no idea how a woman that young has that mature a voice. 4th movement of Beethoven's 9th. St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra with choir.
  21. Jim, you and I will have to start our own elite snooty "Plain Satin with Body Putty Grips" club.
  22. +1 on what Brit said. Lube in the firing pin channel causes stiction which causes FTFs which causes proliferative use of language which would make a Bangkok hooker blush. Don't ask how I know.
  23. Looks great in my book and more importantly it looks like it is about a foot closer to the slide than the standard mount. Can't wait to see mine on the open blaster!!!!!!!!
  24. Sorta interesting, but when I checked out the new uber-cool Tanfo sight their specs showed the Elite Gold as either a V6 or V8. No mention of the V12 even on the Eric model.
  25. Very nice update of their website. Anyone else notice their Modified division model?
