I swapped around my 650 today. Moved it back 5" onto the bench. I turned the case feeder and mounted the bullet feeder to the shelf behind the press. -

I bought the Mark 7 adapters. The top adapter is # 201-1232-03 The bottom adapter is # 201-1232-05 The set screws are # 301-1499. I think the adapters are around $11.00 each and the set screws are around a dollar each. I will will post a couple pictures when I get them -
Looking to turn case feeder 90° on Dillon 650

Thank you for the tip. I found a couple adapters to use a spring for the drop tube. I will try them first. If it doesn't work out I will try the newer 650 setup. -
I am looking to move the case feeder to the left side of the press and turn it 90°. This would allow me to push the press back about 6". I have the spring to use as the drop tube but need something for both ends of the spring. To attach it to the case feeder and the drop tube on the press. I have seen a post about these pieces before but my use of the search feature did not work to good. I can make them if I have to,but it would be much easier to just buy the parts. When this is done I will be able to finally get the 1100 set up. Thanks in advance for your help. Jeff

I will second the S and S casting bullets. I have shot quite a few of them. They are very consistent in weight and size. I like the 125 grain conical 9mm bullets. https://www.snscasting.com/new-9mm-125-grain-conical-nose-red-coated-case-of-3-700/

The area that I am taking about is at the top of the dropper die itself. I used a cone shaped stone in my Dremel tool to remove the square corners. To form a funnel. Then I polished it. Since then I have had no problem with bullets hanging up.

Not sure or the shape bullet you are using. I have been using the conical bullet and it tips in the feeder and hags up on the square shoulder. I use a small cone shape stone to taper the spot where the bullet was hanging up.

I recently need a part for my Dillon 650. I sent an email on Saturday and got a response Monday morning. Had the parts by Friday. I asked for the worn parts and they sent the whole assembly.

I have not but heard good reports. No first hand experience, sorry.

So what's the story with the Dillon XL-650?
Jsjac replied to Justjohn3's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I like my 650 and would not sell it to get a 750. Dillon will support the 650 for long time. -
Sounds like the follower is getting hung up on the magazine extension.
-
We bought a 20 foot container that the complete side opens up. Works so much better than just doors on the ends.
-
This works great for me as well.
-
My recommendation is to buy or borrow a magazine gauge before you get bumped to open. I have magazine extension on few Glock magazines and the are supposed to make the 140 mm gauge but none of them will make it. I never shot a big match with the Glock 34 so they were never measured.

Looks like the slide my be bouncing. In a 9mm AR when you have bolt bounce you can have a case blowout. Maybe the case failures are being caused by the weak recoil springs. The weak spring could be causing the barrel to unlock too early.

Mr. Bullet Feeder Pro Not Dropping
Jsjac replied to BMOHR1's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
I have been loading Blue Bullets and switched back to the S&S Casting Bullets. They are TC style bullets. They zig zag stack in the bullet dropper die. I tried to taper the top of the die but they still occasionally still get cought up on the top of the die. I will need taper it steeper and try again -
On the slide with the holes drilled and tapped for the RMR, what is the thread? I tried the screws that came with the SRO but the threads are not the same. Any help with this would be great. Thank you in advance Jeff

Looks like a double charge to me. Maybe a triple charge.
