  1. There was a lady in my squad at Ft Benning that was using a custom mini 14 with iron sights. She had no problems hitting the mgm flash targets out to 300 yards IIRC. She did well with that little rifle and I don't remember any malfunctions.
  2. Try calling Olde English Outfitters 937.667.6725. I was in there a couple of weeks ago and saw some benelli barrels, I just don't remember which ones they had.
  3. There's quite a few threads on this topic. Type "Benny Hill Benelli" in he search unction and you'll hit pay dirt. I did it earlier today.
  4. One of the guys in my squad got bumped to OPEN cuz his Remy COULD hold too many rounds. He didn't have 10 in it, though. He ended up winning high LEO in OPEN class and won a Tac Vest. Worked out well in the end, but as a Benelli shooter, I'd like to see some clarification in the rules for next year.
  5. This was a GREAT match. Blew the Multigun Nationals out of the water. I know some people were pissed off about the delays and the re-scheduling that was goin on. While I was pissed at the delays, I was not pissed at the match staff for the delays. I was pissed at some of my fellow shooters. I could not believe how lazy some of the squads were that my squad got stuck behind. I watched one and a half squads shoot stage 6, the stage with the worst back up. On average, they were taking 10-12 minutes per shooter. Why? Because very few of the squad members helped reset targets, etc. My squad was the last to shoot the stage on Saturday. We ran 8 shooters through in @ 45 minutes. The last 4 shooters had to come back on Sun morning. If one squad can do it, every squad can do it if everyone helps out. If you don't help, stages get backed up. We're all adults, the ROs shouldn't have to get on us to help reset and paste. Sorry, I'll get off my soap box now. Other things about the match itself: - I hate the bridge. Wish I could do that one over again. - Being video taped by Shooting USA while you're shooting a stage is a distraction. (They got me shooting stage 8) - The AMU guys went all out and put on a great match. - The prize table was AMAZING. I came home with well over my match fee worth of merchandise. Things I think could be improved: - Add water coolers and tents to each stage. - Get a Blackhawk chopper to deliver us to the other ranges next year . - Start a stage with the shooter firing a Barret XM107 at a target 6-800 yards out . Other than that, it was a great time. On my list of matches for sure next year. Thanks to Linda and SSgt Hampton for all the work.
  6. Buffer Tech mag-cinch works fine. Actually works better than on GI mags cuz it doesn't let the mags slide up and down.
  7. A week ago I would have recommended the Millet DMS-1. Not anymore. On Wednesday I was out practicing before coming to Ft benning and the scope 9dms-1) crapped out on me. The lens got blurry and wouldn't focus, then it really went haywire. I'll post a review later. I spent all day yesterday srambling for a scope to put on my rifle for the match this weekend. Should have listened to my dad - "buy cheap, buy twice". I'm going to get a leupold vari-x iii 1.5x5 to replace it.
  8. Will a magpul follower fit in these and can you take them apart to clean them?
  9. Disregard, just noticed BT doesn't make a IM holster for the 226. I'd go with an Uncle Mike's before Fobus.
  10. Look at the Blade Tech injection molded holsters. Good holster, good price.
  11. You can be competitive at local matches with a 9mm Lim gun for the most part. I shoot my 226 duty gun from time to time and do ok. Major matches will be a little tougher to do well. Good luck.
  12. No offense, RS, but offending the sensibilities of our Muslim "allies" should be of no concern to us. We already piss them off by being allies with Israel. If they don't like it, F@#$ 'em.
  13. When I was at the MG Nats, I noticed several guys who had forearm shell carriers on their SGs that carried 6-8 shells. I was thinking about putting one on my M1Super 90, but I was wondering if any of you Benelli boys out there have done this and whether or not you've had problems. I was thinking of 3 gun Gear's 2x4 carrier. Thanks
  14. I just bought an M1S90 field gun and sent the barrel to Carlsons and had them cut the barrel down and rechoke it. Cost me $110 plus shipping. They did a good job. Comes w/ 2 wrenches and 3 chokes for that price. Just a thought.
  15. My Kimber 40 likes Tripp Cobra mags. I have 8 or 9 and they all work flawlessly with factory or long loaded ammo.
  16. Another good match. I wish the rain would have held off til after we left to come back to Ohio, but you can't have everything. Brymer and his crew did a great job. I had lots of fun. Having just got back from the Multi-gun Nationals, I can honestly say that many of the stages were just as good if not better than some of the ones at the Nationals. I definitely had a good time, so did the other guys I came with. Definitely did better than I did at the nationals as well . Keep up the good work. See ya next year.
  17. I was looking over the rules and didn't see anything about power factor. Since this is a plus time match, I'm guessing PF isn't an issue and I could shoot my SIG 9mm w/o being penalized. Do I guess correctly?
  18. Just read a couple of books by Michael Z Williamson called FREEHOLD and THE WEAPON. I didn't know what to expect when I read them, but they were damn good. Check em out HERE
  19. I just hope I make it off the waiting list and into the match. Sounds like a blast.
  20. Another great match. I'd like to thank the guys who set this up for the good job they do. It's worth the 3 1/2 hour drive from Dayton to go shoot a match like this one. Keep up the good work.
