  1. I thought we all agreed to burn that bridge this match? (no pun intended)
  2. Darn good match, Michael. Loved the 9 Hole barricade. Another good job this year with your matches. Keep it up.
  3. it was several hours of my life that i will never get back. i'm a big sci-fi fan but that was a big disappointment.
  4. damn good read. can't wait for the next one.
  5. Stay away from it. Had nothing but trouble with mine. Seen alot of others choke as well. It's the most popular 3 gun shotty in these parts. IMHO a gun marked for 3 gun should run with any name brand load right out of the box. Haven't cleaned my M1 Super 90 in 3 years of 3 gun other than a boresnake down the barrel and it runs great.
  6. Had the same problem you described with my Tac IV. Tried everything mentioned (different shells, different springs, cleaned/lubed, opened gas ports, etc). It went back to Remington THREE times and still had the same problem. THey finally bought it back from me. Replaced it with a Benelli.
  7. Carlson's at www.choketube.com did my Benelli M1 and they did an outstanding job.
  8. We are talking about a 3 gun rifle, right? It's not a mint Colt SAA with an unturned cylinder. Scratch the damn thing and be done with it.
  9. This was a helluva match. I shot Trooper class this year and had a blast. The MRE for lunch was cool. I liked the Enchilda MRE I had. Thanks to all the AMU guys and everyone else who made this a GREAT match. Having a 2 time gold Medal Olympian set targets for you is not something I would have ever thought about, but all of the world class shooters in the AMU who helped run this match were top notch. The whole AMU unit rules. What other match have you heard of that has on site gunsmiths who fix guns during the match for FREE? I've never heard of another match that does that. My personal favorite stages were 6,7,&8, which I shot on the Sunday. I think I liked 8 the best. I like the long range shooting challenge. Next year I vote for shooting from the top of the tower at the back of the range we used. THAT would be cool. My wish list for props next year includes a Mk19 and an M249/Mk46 Mod 0 . The reading of the MOH citations and the dedications of each stage to thos MOH recipients was a great touch. Humbling, to say the least. I don't know how he sustained his injury, but one of the AMU guys that helped out was on crutches. He was on crutches because he had lost his right leg somehow. I was very impressed by his attitude and his willingness to serve. I cannot say enough about the AMU crew. They are definitely a credit to our country and our military. Once again, this was the best match of the year, IMHO. The problems they had last year were non-existant and it was an extremely well run match. Thanks to Linda and the stats crew for their work and to all the ROs and non-AMU staff for their hard work. Last year, one of the causes which led to the backed up stages was the shooters themselves not helping in setting steal, etc. This year, I saw several ROs get on squads who weren't helping out. Thanks. That can be a thankless job, so thanks, I appreciate it.
  10. so i take it that after cutting it to the desired length, you just gorilla glue to two together?
  11. i just got a shooters connection version and there were NO instructions included.
  12. OK, I bought one of these and I wanna make sure I don't screw it up. What's the trick with these?
  13. so who makes the pouches? haven't seen them listed anywhere.
  14. OK, I've tried to search for the answer and came up with nada, so here goes. I'm thinking about putting the tecloader on my Benelli. I've got a source for the tec loader, 2 tubes and the arredondo chute. I see I can also get 8 round tubes from SC, but they are TUBES ONLY. My question: where can I get extra complete tubes and the pouch to hold them? I can't find them listed anywhere.
  15. ANybody still have them? Or a link. Can't find them anymore and was wanting to look at them again.
  16. For most of the local 3 gun matches I have been to, an AK variant would not be a handicap. I've won local rifle side matches and indoor rifle matches with an AK variant (Arsenal SAM5) with iron sights. The bigger state and national matches are a slightly different story. My SAM5 is accurate as he!! with the right ammo.
  17. I may be wrong, but I think he's talking about the shotgun steel. The 2 flipping clay birds weren't worth shooting IMHO. Skipping them saved a lot of time on your slug reload. I skipped the clay birds completely and ended up winning the stage. Most of us mortals don't reload the shotgun fast, so skipping the clay birds is a viable option. Since they are no penalty mikes and they were only worth five points apiece, the benefits to skipping them outweighs hitting them. Last year at the KY Multigun, there was a similar scenario and the guys who won the stage skipped the clay birds. Once again, that's my humble opinion. I talked with Mike about this stage and in the future I wouldn't be surprised to see the clay birds worth more points so that engaging them is a necessity. Of course, if he's talking about another stage, forget everything I just wrote
  18. looking at the application confused me a little. If I'm planning on shooting all 3 weapons, can I do it all in one day?
  19. Great match! Especially for a first time event. Looking forward to coming back.
  20. I did that to my rifle after shooting the MG Nats last year. I liked the sights as close to 1 o'clock as I could get them.
  21. They must have just updated it. It was not there when I started this thread (at least that I could find). Thanks
  22. Anyone got any info on the dates for this? Trying to put my schedule together for next year.
  23. Voted other cuz I use 55's out to 200 and 69 GMMK out past that.
