  1. After watching the video from my local match I see I was lucky that that didn't happen at my match . Its not the frist stage I have tried that look cool on paper and then didn't work so well . Brent
  2. I set that up at my local club last week with no problems , The star never stopped moving and there was aways a plate on the bottom. I thought it was a neat idea when I seen stage design on it. If the star doesn't move I could see how that would be a problem. There some video on youtube of it at warsawuspsa Brent
  3. STI gave me a new grip !!! I mailed it on Saturday and on Friday there was a new grip in the mail. Can't beat that !!! Very good customer service !!! Brent
  4. Bruce has done 2 of them for me. You can use moon clips or speed loaders but after you moon you will never go back. Brent http://www.bcarmory.com/
  5. 9,000 to 10,000 rounds on it. In March it will be 2 years old . But it ran great till this !!
  6. Pictures . This is the frist time the handle has been apart . Any thoughts at what caused it . I want to make sure I don't do it twice !!! It was shooting fine untill the reload . Thanks Brent
  7. I don't think it has been cut down . It not cracked any moor its gone . There is nothing there to hold the mag release. I do top off the mag , so maybe that did it. STI e-mailed me today and they said send it to them for evaluation to see if they will replace it . Brent
  8. My grip broke where the lock goes for the mag release so there nothing holding the mag release and the lock and spring fell out and is lost . It is a STI 2011 race gun (not built by STI though but buy a good smith that is on this forum ). Is this a common problem ? It looks like I jammed the mag release right through the grip but I don't think my fingers are that strong . I got 6 shots off in the 1st stage and reloaded and dropped mags after that. Bad Parts or did I cause this some how ? Brent

    Equipment failure

I got one that make you feel better about your gun !! Sunday's match on the 1st stage shoot 6 reload and mag fall's out , put other mag in and it falls out , try one more time and it falls out. Then I notice that my mag release looks like I shoved it right through the grip . The part of the grip that hold the mag release in is gone and mag release just floats in there and the spring and lock fell out and lost in the grass. Mine is a Bedell open gun that is about a year and half old . But it ran great for 9,000 rounds !! and it will run again . Good luck with your gun . Brent Next weekend will be better I hope !!!
  10. Thanks , I did not get you hitting the dirt but I did get you shooting 22 steel !!! Stage 2 If the link dos not work look us up at warsawuspsa and you shold fing it. Thank for all the kind words . It was a lot of work by about 10 people for this match . Pete has been working on props for 4 or 5 weeks . Thanks Brent

  12. I am trying to have the match done tonight and post it on USPSA . I see if I can get my web guy to post it on the web site www.wrpclub.org when he can . I am having trouble reading everyones e-mail on the sign up sheet but I try to get that out later this week. The most we ever had at a local match was 27 we had 54 at this match . We are glad you had a good time considering how far a lot of you drove . I think Pete can't sleep at night and thinks up all these stages !! Thanks Brent
  13. That depends on how many show up. Most of the time were done by 1:00 but if there is 50 or more shooter it will be longer but if you have to work you can shoot through if that helps . Or shoot Sat. with ROs . I an hoping to start at 10:00 on Sat. if all goes well. Thanks Brent sw686@embarqmail.com
  14. Yes , $25.00 There is a map at are web site www.wrpclub.org Thanks Coach
  15. The match is going to be 7 stages , 6 for the match and 1 fun stage with a golf cart . Around 225 rounds . RO's will be shooting Saturday and we will let some shooters shoot Saturday if they need too just send me a e-mail. Sign up 9:00 am Shooting at 10:00 am . There are some very challenging stages and should be a lot of fun !! Were going to have a RO at the stage and will use the squad for score keeping. Brent sw686@embarqmail.com
  16. This was 15 or so years ago and at are clubs indoor range you had to shoot lead bullets and no magnum . I seen that load some where and tried it. At 50 feet it shoot like a 10" low and you where out of adjustment. I have other guns now . Just one of those things you try and laugh at later. Brent
  17. I too have have used it for years and use it in 9mm, 38s,357,40, 45. I tried it in a load for 30/30 low power load with corn meal as a buffer. It shot way low and smelled like you were baking muffins when rack the lever. Won't try that again ! Brent
  18. We are have 2 local matchs at Warsaw in August . There is a map at www.wrpclub.org Questions ? Brent Roberts sw686@embarqmail.com
  19. Warsaw Practical shooters ,1 match per month , 4 matchs this year , avg. is 22.5 for 4 matchs . We are in are 2nd year as USPSA club in northern Indiana .
  20. I shoot a 686 that I had moon clipped , it will work great . I shoot 38S (it is my ICORE load ) in minor but at the IN state match when I was playing some good shooter I had to shoot ''A" being in minor. I think the match was 268 Rd's and I shot 249 "A", 18 "C', 1 "D" But my times were slow from shooting "A" . I should be able to shoot "A" and go fast but that for another topic . If it would be icore i think I would have done better. If you have the gun shoot it . Moon clip it and you will have a lot of fun . Brent
  21. Thanks Coach , John and I run the match and Phil and Chris drive an hour to help set up. But John got stuck at work Sat and Sunday . I still can't believe you drove 3+ hours to it but I am glad you had a good time . Brent
  22. I guess that I am the only one that needs them to hear the BEEP . And before you say I lost my hearing by not plugging with ear muffs, I had to take lip reading in the 2nd grade. I can't hear high tones and that includes timers . If I don't have them the RO has to tap my shoulder . I don't hear anyone talking after I begin shooting . But till I was reading this topic I didn't realize its hard to hear a squib with them on. I was running a shooter and he stop-ed because he thought he had a squib . I seen the bullet hit the target but he didn't and I didn't know why he stopped because the round sounded the same to me. Brent
  23. Are you shooting reloads ? I shoot lead in my Beretta in 40 sw . I tried a few different powders to make a nice miner load and out of the 3 or 4 different powders all shot low but Bullseye was right on. So that what I used. Brent
  24. I warned a new shooter this weekend about his muzzle while he was moving and he stop and pulled his ear plug out and said " what " . I was rethinking about warning shooters . Brent
  25. That's a under statement !!!! But its going to get better tomorrow !!! Brent
