  1. No it's stuck between station 1 (decapping) and 2 (where the new primer is placed), so I think it's not harmful but I'll wait and see what the Dillon-folks think.
  2. I emailed Dillon and asked if it's harmful and how much a new frame would cost.......
  3. I just let it set there.......I guess I can only make matters worse :-(
  4. I guess there is one small crack :-( But, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think that it will ruin it's functioning? And since there's not much room or holding area to grap it with some pliers, trying to pry it out will only damage my press and it looks like the 'roof' is closed so knocking it out from the top, won't work either. Damn, I'm stupid!!!
  5. Don't ask me how I did it, but I managed to get a bullet stuck in the top of my SDB. It doesn't interfere with it's normal functioning and I guess that I might damage the aluminum if I try to pry it out, what do you guys think of it?
  6. I think I have some info on this, as I have been playing with the chrono yesterday! Since My 9mm Edge works best with long rounds and my buddy shoots short ammo in his CZ, I thought I should use some of his rounds in my gun and the difference was quite noticeable. Using 4,0 grain of N320 with 124grain Berry's bullets, I got this: COL 27,7mm: average speed=1037fps COL 29,75mm: average speed=970 fps So I guess it's safe to say that a longer COL leads to more room in the case and lower pressures, thus lower speeds. BTW, I achive higher velocities with N340, but I like the snappy feel of N320, although it's harder to make minor (yes, that sounds funny), while staying within Vihta's loading tables.
  7. Thanks, then I'll order some Dawson's from Shooters Connection.
  8. I'm waiting for the paperwork, but soon the Glock 17C for my wife will be here ;-) From CPWSA I ordered a SJC magwell, but I guess I'll also will be needing some extra length basepads? A few sources sell both the Arredondo and the Dawson 'extra capacity' pads. but which is the best and works without extra mods?
  9. I use a Ruger 22/45 Mark III with an Ultradot on top. At the moment I'm waiting for a Volquartsen Mark II hammer, so I can remove the annoying magazine safety.......otherwise it's a very nice blaster, which just keeps running.
  10. Who makes the 'KL' scopemount for the Glock?
  11. I have troubles getting 125PF without loading past 'maximum' (according to the Vihtavuori), should I just go higher and watch for pressure signs?
  12. I shoot a Edge in 9mm and I also noticed that my pistol is somewhat sluggish with light loads.........
  13. I had a squib today on a very fast steel stage and I did't hear the primer pop...........so I cycled my 9mm Edge and then the Range Officer and a shooting buddy yelled 'STOP!!!!!!!!!!!' very hard, so I did stop ;-) I pulled the gun apart and there was a bullet lodged in the barrel, so I guess I was very very lucky today!
  14. I also added an STI reverse plug to my order....... BTW, Chris Schirmer at STI told me that STI does not recommend using ShockBuffs, that confuses me a bit :-(
  15. I just ordered a STI guiderod, some Shokbuffs and 10 +12 pound springs, so I'm going to play with some springs!
  16. My Edge has a Recoilmaster and a reserve plug, so I guess I only need the STI flgr............
  17. I want to experiment with some spring weights in my 9mm Edge, so the Recoilmaster need to go. But, can I just buy a full lenght guide rod, or does the reserve plug need a specific diameter?? When I looked at the EGW site, they have normal guiderods and guiderods for STI's, what's the difference?

    Dawson ICE

Chris is a great guy........and it seems that he doens't use international shipping as a way of making some extra money! Sometimes I have to pay huge amounts to get anything to Europe and that sucks! And others simply refuse to ship anything..........

    Dawson ICE

I just ordered the SJC from CPWSA..........

    Dawson ICE

OK...........then I'm goin to get a SJC! BTW, which extended basepads work or don't work with the SJC magwell?

    Dawson ICE

A friend of mine bought a ICE magwell for his Glock, a few months ago. BUt he had to modify the frame a little to make it fit, is that normal? BTW, how does the SJC magwell compare to the Dawson unit?
  22. Hi Vincent! Yes that a totally awesome blaster, but I bet Van Mulekom can make something drastic.........and I would probably be cheaper ;-)
  23. I had some problems, but when I adjusted the feedlips (they were very W I D E) it all worked and the bullets are now nicely guided by the feedlips and I've shot around 5000 rounds without any problems.
  24. Here in Europe, S&B is about the cheapest factory ammo available and although the brass lasts long, I have problems with the primer pockets. So when I shoot 9mm and brass picking is not allowed, I shoot S&B, otherwise I prefer Magtech.
