  1. Call Dillon. You may be able to ship it to them and get it all fixed for free or at least minimal cost for missing parts.
  2. It always suprises me that someone in a service industry position isn't concerned about their business reputation. Sure-- business may be good-- at the moment. They'll be wishing they had a customer base to draw on at some point.
  3. NOTE: PSC Gun Club will only allow brass cased ammunition for this match. This local rule has received the express consent of the President of USPSA. I will endeavor to have brass cased ammunition available to swap for those few that forget. I apologize for the inconvenience, I'm curious-- why the brass only rule ?

    2 Wheelers

Been out on FM 539 and FM 529 on the weekends eh !!
  5. The last 4k I've bought and shot were from Montana Gold 124g and 147g 9mm FMJ and CMJ. Im fact USPS just delivered a couple of cases this morning. Im sure the postperson was cussin' LOL Decent prices. Shoot well. Several guys I shoot with use them as well in 9 and 45. I see the OP listed defensive as a use. One guy's opinion/comment-- I carry comercial ammo and keep the ready-to-grab mags loaded with comercial ammo as well. Although my reloads shoot well, there is ocacsionally a bad round I don't catch that causes a foopahh at a match. Rather there than in another situation is my thought.

    2 Wheelers

<< dislikes bicyclists that ignore traffic laws, apparently feeling that THEY own the road. Riding against traffic, running through stop signs and stop lights-- Come on you folks-- who's vehicle is really going to win in a smackdown ? I see it all the time, as I work around large medical complex-- students everywhere. Guy set me off leaving work-- construction area, sidewalks closed, that side of the street closed to traffic and he comes blasting out in front of me, riding against the traffic out of the closed lane. Hope he got a snootfull of rubber smoke from me and the car behind me and coughs all night. OK.. Im done :-)
  7. There's a thread here somewhere that described a flat piece of metal, bent at a right angle. It's purpose is to fit under the primer wheel advance arm. Once in place, only the single primer that was in the install position will be in the way. Remove it by hand and you can cycle cases through w/o feeding a primer. I think that's what you are asking to do eh ? I'd post a pic but I havent figured that out yet--the original poster's info has a pic
  8. Lawman shoots fine in my G34 and CZ. I've got a few boxes lying about. I havent chrono'd any either. It does seem to be a bit snappier that others, like WWB and Monarch. The only store ammo I've had problems with is the Wolf steel case stuff-- more misfeeds noticed on both the pistols. The Blazer steel , from what I recall, didn't cause troubles.
  9. I recently shot a major match. I'd been practicing some on the range and a bit of dry firing the week prior. I decided that my physical skill levels weren't going to significantly improve. I decided I'd work on the mental part. From visiting with shooting friends, reading BE's book a few more times and reading here--that's the next step in the journey for me. I was determined that I was going to focus on my shooting-- and not on the "little things" that occur and seem to upset many folks at matches-- long waits to shoot, inconsistant ruling by the stage SO, debating not "legal" stages, other folks complaning, and similar. I decided how I was going to shoot the stage and focused on that. I didnt rush to get r done and run between stages. I didnt watch the shooter when I was on deck so no second guessing my original decisions. I walked away and tried not to listen to their shot pattern. Once I shot, it was back to watching and visiting ( and of course taping ! LOL). Once I verified the scoring was accurate and on paper, I tucked it away. I've found that trying to keep a running match score total causes me to worry about "doing better on the next stage" which results in loosing my focus on how I shoot best and trying to best another shooter. Bottom line--I focused, it felt comfortable-- it worked-- and I placed !
  10. From the FCC site-- Q: When did the FCC have to adopt rules and when do these rules take effect? A: The Commission was required to adopt rules within one year of the law's enactment, and did so on December 13, 2011. The Commission's rules become effective one year after their adoption, or December 13, 2012. Usual GOV wording -- "adpot" and "effective" =different dates
  11. Two general comments I have that are similar to others in the thread are what I've found have helped me-- First is cosentration on the task at hand. I try to focus on what I plan to do in the stage. Standing around watching others or going over the "here's what I would do instead" discusions are good learning-- but not for me before I shoot. These discussions tend to cause me to re-think my (alledegdy proper and solid...) plan, which in turn casues me to re-think while shooting. I notice that as I review when I tank a stage as the OP discussed, its usually that I lost focus-- I hesitated to think what I should do , rather than just go with my original plan. Someone earlier said "shoot- don't think...". One question I ask myself after a stage is "did it feel comfortable ?" If not, I thought too much and didnt just shoot smoothly. Second I've found is related to a physical energy level. I've noticed that if I don't drink and snack frequently, I'll begin to feel sluggish and not concentrate as well. I've began to carry small bags of unsalted peanuts and eat one every hour or so. No sodas/caffine-- water or light sports drinks. Eating too much I've found is also detremental to me. I've even been known to pass on that BBQ lunch !
  12. In the past, I've had success in geting small fab jobs done at local high school/ jr college shops. I offered materials and/or donation.
  13. You'd best prepare him-- your new bench may need fastening to the wall to steady it. That's holes in the bench AND the wall ! The 2x12 mount is a good idea. If I may suggest-- 2x12 long enough to clamp 3-4 clamps. C-Clamps, rather than the handle-type bar clamps. Just tell your dad, it's a reloading bench...what reloading bench doesn't have holes in it?...Tell him we said it's ok... Ha. I've tried but when he bought it and I'm broke (due to the fact that I'm 14 with a seasonal job and have spent everything I had on the press and supplies), it's hard to argue him!
  14. Thanks for the info-- Blue nut on the arm is tight-- at least half way up the thread+ some. I emptied the power container to be sure it wasnt stuck or powder settled funny-- so no forign objects. It appeared the powder bar is traveling the required path, but I'll revisit that and check for the white thingie to be in position. Updates later once I get in from the office and after a little recliner time.
  15. Affirmative. Full down and fwd motion

  17. New scale from Enos shop Weight calibrate=good
  18. New Dillon 650 user here-- I cant seem to be able to drop a consistant weight from this thang-- 9mm range brass Titegroup powder Trying a 3.2-3.3g load When I run 10+ through and weigh each drop, I'll get 3.1, 3.3, 3.4, 3.6, 3.2-- all over the place. I figured 10 drops would even out any problems when changing the adjustment. I've read through here and around some-- Table is stable Dissambled and cleaned the drop bar dryer sheet in the bin for static problems I've even tried sticking my tounge out when puttling the handle ! The only suggestions I havent tried are the aquarium pump to vibrate the bin and aftermarket knob/bar setups. Suggestions on getting a consistant powder drop ?
  19. Too much coffee for you both ! Your thread's been an interesting read, containing good tips. My new one's case feeder also feeds an upside down case on ocacsion. Perhaps its just one of those things eh. I'm interested to see if adding a brace helps. I hate to put more holes in the wall. That'll cost me jewlery LOL
  20. Greetings-- New 650 with 9mm caseloader How often does one see a case get loaded into the tube upside down ? I loaded 500 rounds or so and had it jam with upside down cases 6 times-- Question--Is that about right ? The most recent batch of brass I purchased was deprimed and cleaned with walnut hulls. There are still a few granules of walnut left in the mix. Out of the same 500 or so rounds loaded, I had 5-6 instances where the case stuck at the feed point (green plastic insert) on the press-- jammed with a hunk of walnut. I'll run this batch through the seperator and see if that helps to remove more. Question-- Unless the cases are quite dirty, would using corn cob leave a cleaner batch of brass (less media leftover) ?
  21. Wife's a bit hard of hearing, so the TV shows get turned up-- then BAM comes a comercial blasting out. I can hear the $%^& thing out in the back yard ! I heard a piece of a report the other day. A congressperson was to introduce a bill to require the FCC to step in. Somthing about a comercial's sound level had to be less or equal to the program volume. Whooohooo !
  22. I average around 900 rounds a month over a year. 3-4 matches a month plus Friday Night Date night at a local range a couple times a month.
  23. Greetings-- Newbie to reloading here-- I'm going to buy one or the other-- but Im on the fence.... 550 vs 650. I plan to mainly reload .223, but suspect some 9mm and .40 in the future as prices rise. I recall reading in a couple of places that the case feeder system doesnt like .223. If that's the case, then the extra speed from using the 650 doesnt matter if it wont feed well, eh ?? Comments ??
