  1. Sean, I hope I am not the "one", I try not to be a a**hole or range Nazi. Since I am usually the RO and the MD if a shooter would to do that I would NOT DQ him, but rather take 20 seconds and explain to him WHY that is not acceptable behavior. The future of USPSA is juniors and new shooters. With the price of fuel, reloading compentants, ammo etc. (general inflation) I am not seeing the quantity of new shooters we used to see a few years ago. OK, since I would let the shooter off the hook, as long as SAFETY was not compromised, go ahead and give me your best shot! abs
  2. What kind of powder are you running? How much? What length of bbl? What have you got for a comp? Any blow holes?
  3. Actually it's three places per class, if there are enough in each class. All divisions are recognized.
  4. Forgot to mention, in addition to all the prizes and cash, we award plaques to 1-3 in class! Ok, ramble mode off.
  5. Any one out there know what is the max OAL you can load a .40 to in an STI mag? I am assuming that the frames are the same for a .40 or a .45 with just the ejector being different. Thanks! abs
  6. Well it's time for the 4th annual Rocky Mountain 300. For most of you that don't know what it is, in a nutshell here it is: 5 Stages, 300 rounds. That's right approximatly 60 per stage, give or take. It is not a USPSA sanctioned match, but the rules (except for round count criteria) is adhered to. I believe it is the "richest" payback match for miles around. We return 75 percent of the match fees to winners of divisions (down to 3 places if the numbers work) and give away random prizes after the shootoff on Sunday, which is an entirely separate match. The dates are April 19th and 20th, we have camping at the range with running water restrooms and showers. This match is designed so ALL shooters have a "real" chance at receiving a great prize. This year in addition the $4000.00 in cash and prizes, like last year, we are going to give a gun at random drawing to each division that has at least 10 entries. The shootoffs are handicapped, so in theory any one can win. We give back 100 percent of the entry fees for this. We limit it to the first 75 shooters, so don't delay. Do the math, not too shabby of odds to win a gun, and last year I believe everyone got at least their entry fee back in terms of prizes. The app is on www.ecouspsa.com under major matches. Hope to see you there! abs

    bullet debris

My experience with EAA has been fairly good. Sharon is dynamite and takes good care of me. But, if you want it done and done right, cough up the $ and send it to Henning! abs
  9. The NEW thin 9mm , right ? yup, the thin one, weighs about 15 oz I think.
  10. I have both the .380 and the .9mm, both run like a top and are surprizingly accurate. The 9 rides in an ankle holster and is so light and slim you forget it is on. I have shot it quite a lot with different self defense loads and have yet to jam it.
  11. Yup, like that! Good shooting with you in the Artic Circle last Sunday! abs
  12. I am thankful for EVERY day I wake up!! I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful I live here and not in some other country where our freedom would be compromised.

    Bud Bond 2007

We will be having a memorial service for Bud on Saturday the 3rd. Bud would have wanted "his" steel match to go on, so go on it will. We will scatter his ashes on the range he loved so much. The service will start at approximatly 4:00 pm. abs
  14. Has nothing to do with calling your shots. You see the target first and if it is unpasted then certainlly it can be a distraction. More experienced shooters don't even hesitate if they are familiar with the rules. In the last few months I've had two competitors stop to point out an unpasted target , first time I showed him the clock and the second I stopped the competitor. Being able to score the targets accurately was the deciding factor on those decisions. After both events I explained the rules to them. I will also add, I've seen the best two hits given to the shooter which is totally wrong. That is not an accurate score! Sounds like we (RO's) need to do a better job of checking the stage for resets BEFORE we let the next shooter do his thing!

    KEAL open gun

I just received it this morn. Yup it IS a work of art. The machine work alone is outstanding, not to mention the trigger. If I wasn't such a moron I would figure out how to post some pics.
