  1. Check if the funnel has ridges.Try polishing the funnel. Find a 5mm bolt and nut( a touch smaller than 1/4 inch), tighten it in a drill and polish the funnel where it flares on the case with 1000grit wet paper. Then some polishing compound. I had the same problem and this is what was suggested to me and it worked. Just trying to help
  2. I shoot PPC in SA. Only just started a year ago. I would suggest zero at 50. That would be X at 50. My point of aim varies in the positions at this distance. Base off X -standing with barricade. Top of X /top of 10 in seated and prone. At 25, POA is base of X, and at 7 it's base of 10. Hope this helps
  3. Just seen new packaging but fires fine
  4. I know someone who shoots a X5. He had his barrel slugged and it showed .356. He swears by the 135gr .357 bullets normally used for revolvers. He can hold an X ring at 50m easily. Just my 5 cents
  5. Those are Nill grips. Looks like a Modernized PPC revolver. I would take it for a walk
  6. You shouldn't get any issues when mixing primers in a pistol, revolvers are a different story. I'm a bullseye shooter, and for pistols we generally use what we can get. Unless it's the white box of Russian decent I think it is, then you could encounter endless headaches.
  7. And the shellplates for those calibers. 750 is 5 station as to 550's 4 station. But you seem to have everything for the upper part of the press
  8. I believe it's their handgun laws. As hunting FA's are approved, the barrel has to exceed X inches to be classed as one and get license for it. That's my understanding. Seems silly to some but each country has their own FA laws
  9. I don't know about the Shadow 2, but I have a Sp01 Shadow and that baby shoots anything with enough powder to cycle it. Bulged cases are obviously an issue. Go for it. Just my opinion
  10. On the media topic, I've heard of some people throwing in a few spent primers as well. Apparently it helps get the really thick crud off old range brass. Anyone hear of this before? Bear in mind that I'm in South Africa and people try all kinds of crap here.
  11. I do exactly the same. I add enough media to basically soften the brass on brass rattling sound.
  12. I agree with the possible overtightening of the shell plate
  13. I use 124gr with my sp01. At the distance you should have a huge hole dead center.
  14. Yes sir. A double charge is a big possibility. I load 3.7gr, with 124gr bullet. and just looking in the case, more than enough room in there to easily double charge. I got confused once while loading a batch. Needless to say, I weighed every loaded round to confirm that all were good loads. Best to be on the safe side
  15. A 750 with the works at a good price? How do I talk you out of it? It would be a dream for me
  16. I fully agree with all who says that the SDB is an obvious choice if you only using pistol. Also easy on the pocket with no additional extras. As it already comes with a calibre preset to your liking, all you would need is an extra calibre conversion kit for anything else you plan to load. Just my 2 cents
  17. Got you. The light is definitely a must have. Depending on the lighting of the room/bench or in some cases closets. The machine tends cast shadow lines. But thanx for the answer
  18. I have started reloading on a 550 recently (upgraded from a Pro 1000). My question is: Is the mirror/camera necessary? The reason I'm asking is that when I prime the cases in the normal operation, I tend to lean slightly forward on the upstroke. This then gives me overhead sight on the load in the case prior to indexing and place the bullet. Just what I do. Am I doing something wrong?
  19. Good day All. I do not participate in the Action shooting matches however I do shoot under the WA1500. This forum has provided alot of insight to the vast majority of sport shooters out there. Thank you for all the info so far
