I ran the dillon with 8lbs or so of corncob and a 1/4 bottle of polish saturday. 4 seperate loads 30 minutes each and got 7500 rds cleaned up quickly.

That should be plenty safe.

It would take alot to cause you problems as far as the powder primers go. I dont think Id want to travel with primers in tubes as that ups the risk a little but more than likely you will get there and have to pick up primers at the bottom of whatever you transport them in. Id be most concerned about keeping the press from bouncing. Short of you driving a tesla not much will ignite them .

Is the hole the wire goes into clean? I know when i had issues id keep trying to fix it but get it going for another 50-100 rds before it would pop up again. after cleaning the hole one time I got 1000+ before issues

Is there a chart out there of machine start points? for example im prepping 223 (torque 10, Index speed**, top dwell **, bottom dwell **) Switching to 9mm(torque 5, Index speed**, top dwell **, bottom dwell **)

They backordered the bulletsense on me but like I said ill be running 223 prep for a little while. I figured this is the perfect thing to start on as there are fewer pieces to master. Assuming dies are set right I should only have to deal with decap and swage sensors as well as figuring out the rest of the settings. That way after 12000 223 cases are done I can switch up to either loading 223 or going back to 9 and only have to figure out bulletsense and new machine settings

I enjoy reloading but loading gives you pile of happiness when your done and processing is depressing. Its yanking on a handle for hours with the promise of having to do it again to get the ammo out of it. I just got my MK7 so I should be good now. I only process rifle.

After full tear down and service I switched to 9 got 60 rounds out before a primer hung up. I think you may be right in this being slightly bent. I ordered FW Arms Primetime to replace it.

gotta know how to work it 1st order Get the unit and bullet sense as first order. If you put anything else in the cart that becomes your free one 2nd order decap sense and mark 7 marker board 3rd order from daa the remainder of your sensors. Thank you. i have 4 dillon heads and am looking into what to do now for primer hold down. I wish I figured it out before spending so much money on stock dillon heads.

I ended up with all but powdersense over 3 orders, I got the bullet sense as it was the most expensive as the free one.

Pulled the trigger. Mark 7 has drive for 1999 with a free sensor. So I bought it with bullet sense. then separately bought the rest of the sensors from DAA as they had the best prices with the exception of Decapsense which they didnt have so went back to Mark 7 and bought that there. Skipping powdersense as I dont have a spot for it. I think my first task is to prep 15 gallons of 223 I have waiting since I hated this step previously

Accurate 2 is pretty close to 320 and burns clean with DG and Blue bullets

When I did dry tumbling. Corn cob left a better finish. And I found replacing it after 5 total hours of use made for better end results. Wet tumbling is much cleaner but you lose all lubricity the old carbon had on the case.

The primers look as though they were laying sideways in the primer shuttle and as you pulled the handle it attempted to push it in sideways. At least #1 & #3 do. The crushed one in the middle looks like swaging though it could be the same as the other two. Is your powder measure sticking on your case flarer? If it is it may be popping and the primer may jump on its side.

I broke them all down but I still have all the bad ones. I can check them to come up with a pattern. I may or may not do anything about it in the future now that , going forward, prep and load will all be done on the 1100 I should have better swaging.

I do not. Lifes too short to sort for plinking. I sort for grendel and 308 as im doing that in far fewer numbers
