CZC has had my slide for 2 months now waiting on it to get milled. They may do amazing work (I don't yet know) but their communication and timing are terrible. I would definitely suggest going with someone else.

Having to use dental floss as a work around makes terrible design a not strong enough term IMO.

Are they even making the Rival-S currently? I know I haven't seen it in stock anywhere online in quite a while. Have they fixed the over insertion issue or are they waiting until they have a fix? Just speculating.

Other than a brass backstrap yes gun was stock. I later upgraded to a tungsten guide rod and still have the problem before and after. Stock otherwise. 3 of the mags and it happens with all 3 regularly when I load them to 23 rounds.

Not shadow 2 but for my p10f I have some henning basepads with mbx followers and if I load to 23 I get a FTF consistently on the first shot. Have to stop at 22 in those. So the mbx followers may be great for S2 but they are definitely bad for p10s.

Are you planning on any kind of re-coating for the whole gun or just dealing part by part?

That is the only difference I noticed as well. That is a hot spot for me in my budget 1911 so I did opt for the improved blending...we will see how it feels when it comes in!

Thanks, I actually ordered mine last week and they shared a different photo hard to tell the difference but I said fork it and went for the blend.

No need to be rude to someone trying to help you. You weren't clear in your question so I was trying to help considering I literally just bought that a month ago. I was able to find a plate in stock today with just a small amount of googling so its a very legitimate question.

I assume you mean you cannot find it in stock rather than cannot find any? Just research some quality options and either check those sites for restock or see if there is any notify on restock options.

I may need to get a double wide paddle for mine, depends on if my wife (who is leftie) likes it after I get it back from optic milling and put in the reach reduction kit (she has small hands).

I could have sworn I saw a shot show video of them saying they did the same split design for the ds 1911s but I could well be wrong! The split design i'm not sold on either...not sure if its a gimmick or a real improvement. Anyone know what the "competition blend (rear safety to frame)" upgrade option is on the Priest order form? I don't see any differences in any of the pictures that I can spot.

I had that problem as well with a stock S2, problem was the round in my case. Cheap wwb 115 ammo.

Oh wow I didn't realize that, mine is a few years old and came with both safties. Which one comes standard now do you know? (Patiently waiting on mine to have the optic cut completed...)

I believe that is referring to their split frame manufacturing dealie. You can see their 1911 version explained here: They are claiming tighter tolerances and therefore less hand fitting. Personally I have no clue if its a gimmick or a great idea! Waiting to hear more about these guns myself.

I have a p10c and F both and have had no light strike problems with either using factory ammo. Not sure if that helps but that is my experience.

How easy/hard is it to pin yourself? If the hole is there I would (perhaps naively) assume it to be pretty easy?

Was the front sight pinned on the full size DWX? Strange that it has the hole for the pin and isn't pinned.

I am pondering getting my S2 milled for a dot and wondering what people's thoughts are on the various options for milling? CZC has their own plate system which is nice but that is $275 vs SBGW who has it listed on sale for $134, primary machine is in the middle at $180. I could also just get the S2 OR and sell my current one. So basically I am waffling and soliciting opinions.
