Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. They are obviously 3d printed but their geometry is slightly different from the Atlas ones. Going forward I will stick with the mbx ones as they work without modification.
  2. As I have said elsewhere in this thread, yes the Atlas mags followers do not work without slight modification. The MBX ones work great. The various 2011 mags have slightly different geometry in the follower which makes all the difference.
  3. Follower geometry was the problem. Swapping with the mbx followers and those worked fine. I 3d printed a copy of the atlas follower and filed it down about 1mm and it worked fine. (3d printed just to test it non-destructively.) Candidly its a non issue just be aware some mag followers may not work without slight modifications. But like I said several times the mbx followers are 100% reliable to-date.
  4. Please go back and read the post you quoted. I already did that and it is the follower as I said. The area circled in the picture is higher in the atlas follower than the MBX follower. When I swapped followers with an mbx follower it works correctly. It is 100% the follower geometry. I haven't yet tried it but I suspect strongly that sanding down that part of the follower probably even as little as a mm would fix the atlas follower in this gun.
  5. Talked to Vudoo and they said that they have found compatibility issues with some mags including Atlas. I am about 95% sure that I could just slightly file down the tip of that atlas mag follower and fix the problem. If I can find a decent 3d scanner software I might try 3d printing a copy of it and see if that fixes it.
  6. Take a look at the attached picture, on the left is an MBX mag that came with the Priest on the right is an Atlas mag. Its hard to see but I circled in red the part of the follower that pushes on the slide lock. In the Atlas mag on the right it is angled slightly more where the front is higher (I didn't have the two mags perfectly parallel, it looks more pronounced in person) and, as best as I can determine, that is the part engaging the slide lock. I plan on calling Vudoo later today and seeing what they say.
  7. How is it a slide lock problem when the followers on the mags are different and it works 100% with one and not the other?
  8. Found one issue with my Priest. Borrowed two Atlas 126mm mags from a friend and interestingly the Priest locks back with a round in the mag. This happens both mags, every time, I can replicate with dummy rounds. Doesn't matter how many rounds I load the slide locks with 1 round in the mag. I am guessing its a follower problem with the Atlas followers in the Priest but I haven't explored that yet.
  9. Let us know how you think it shoots? I've only got around 500-750 rounds through mine but so far it has been flawless. I am slightly more accurate and slightly faster with several drills with the Priest than I am with my S2 (as you would hope for the price difference).
  10. About 16 weeks, longer than they estimated for sure but part was over Xmas time so that may have slowed things. I did the aggressive steel grip. Happy to share pics via PM if you are interested (so as to not clog this thread off-topic).
  11. That is an excellent point, thank you for raising it. I probably would skip the backup if I ordered another but right now I've no desire to have another.
  12. To me the purpose of the backups is if the battery dies or there's another problem. For example taking the LTC practical requires iron sights not optic here. I agree it isn't needed but it is nice to have as a backup.
  13. That's what I have, X1C with AMS, LOVE it. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, but remember TPU can't use the AMS so you probably want to set up a splitter so you can alternate AMS with direct input for stuff like TPU.
  14. TPU is what you want that has a little flex. I designed and printed covers in TPU for my SRO and my holosun 507 comps. It can bit a little bit of a pain to print but if your printer can handle it that's your filament.
  15. Are you thinking just a ring to print around the base of the mag?
