  1. One of the main reasons I didn't pull the trigger on a Phoenix Redback is due to their support, parts, etc which are basically none existent in the US market. It's simply asking for problems and headaches. Instead I went with an MPA DS9 Hybrid
  2. I placed an order 2 months ago and I'm still waiting!
  3. Looking to replace the stock guiderod with a tungsten one, I was informed that I need the 1911 commander springs? What the consensus on spring weights? I am using my own loads for minor power factor 130~ Thanks!
  4. Sadly, it's not a USPSA approved pistol~
  5. The RL 1100 has it's own issues as well just like "ANY" press does. The Apex 10 is sadly a cheapened version of the Mark7 Evo press~ which IMO is a better built press~ and I have owned them all from Dillon 750, 1050, 1100 and now the Evolution which is being replaced with the Revo press~
  6. Prepare to wait, and wait, wait and do some more waiting, upon more and more... But when you get her in your hands you'll be glad you've waited!~ IMO Honcho is the best money can buy~ Plus a lot of RD work was done to perfect her~
  7. I don't care what anyone says, but the best investment that money can buy on an open gun is the PT Honcho, the ability to change barrels, shoot different USPSA/3-Gun, Steele challenge, etc matches gives the PT Honcho a leg up on all others! Personally I think that the Honcho is by bar none the best buy in the competitive shooting scene but that's just me!
  8. Oil! Grease will attract dirt, and all sorts of bad crap~ Oil has been used on firearms for millenia so why stop now?
  9. Is the decapper prone to jams, etc? Thanks guys~
  10. Looking for some input in regards to the Decapper machine from Rollsizer... Anyone care to chime in if you're an owner? Thanks~!
  11. There's no load data for such task, however, you will need to adjust your sights to accomodate for such distances. You may need a scope on your pistol!~
  12. On my S2 Orange I have not removed the front sight, lol~ It was machined to accept the Trijicon SRO and I decided to leave the front sight to acquire closer targets faster...
  13. Nice info, thanks~ Would be interested to get that that wear plate as an added mod to the Decapper~
  14. I was told that by a commercial brass processor~ So... I am actually looking at purchasing one myself since I already have the commerical rollsizer, this would be a nice welcomed addition
  15. I've been looking at purchasing the decapper from Rollsizer, however, I was told that it was not that reliable and it wasn't quite there yet as for as performance, etc. Great info!
  16. I'm looking to buy a Phoenix Redback optics ready pistol, but I already have 2 CZ S2 one Orange and One blue, not sure if the $4200+ price tag justifiies taking the plunge plus the fact that there's no aftermarket support, parts, or etc... Unlike of course, CZ~
  17. Had the opportunity to check out some of my friends open major loads, using 115gr and I was honestly surprised how well the dot tracked, and how the Honcho performed. Normally I only use 125 Precision Delta's JHP, but now I will be switching to 115gr. I've heard that 115gr is hard on the pistol but??? I mean it's an open gun so how hard can 115gr be? Anyway, the recoil impulse, dot tracking, gas generated, etc worked amazingly well! Anyone else is using 115gr?
  18. AA7 but each powder is unique and different for every shooter. You want to make sure your dot tracks well, and take into consideration recoil impulse, how clean, dirty, etc the powder is, etc. Some of the good powders have been mentioned HS6, Autocomp, AA7, etc.. Try them all and make a decision. Each powder is subjective what may work for others may not work for you~
  19. Who makes a holster that allows you to use the CZ S2 platform with the Nitro Fin thumb rest? Thanks guys ~
  20. You are right, looks apparently sells a LOT! Fit and function most don't pay attention to because many of us want to look "cool" Way too many are too concern about how the firearm looks, what gear you use, colors, etc etc. Instead of being concerned about how good do you shoot, hows your dry fire routines, fundamentals, and ultimately how good at you when it comes down to compete in the game. With that being said, some people just want to shoot, have fun and don't care about competiting or classications, etc. But you're absolutely right, looks way too many are hung up on looks... I've been a victim of that myself
