  1. http://drsears.com/ Its not so much a diet, as a way of easily eating things in proper proportions and the right amounts for your (desired) body size. It encourages lean proteins, and eating green veggies and some fruits instead of grains/breads or starches for your carbs. Unlike a lot of "diets", Zone also encourages appropriate consumption of good fats - monounsaturated stuff, mostly (olive oil, avocados, various nuts, etc). The best part is - its works. Thanks for the DR Sears link XRe! FM
  2. I cleaned up my start menu and purchased System Mechanic 8.5 as per our Tech Hotline and now my 38 month old notebook runs better than new. (I did double the memory too; XP pro on 2 sticks of 1024, or what ever it is.) System Mechanic keeps the clutter cleaned up. FM
  3. FM The location of the Title game is determined LONG before the team who are participating. I forget that stuff. Thank god the new Supercross season has started! I just can't deal with "stick & ball" games. That's why I like competition shooting and motor sports. FM
  4. A couple of years ago we had a transaction filed as "Cox to Seaman" Mr. Cox's first name is Harden. You can't make this stuff up! FM
  5. For someone from Iowa that loves the desert, the date and venue couldn't be better! Hope I can make it! FM
  6. I really don't care, but what I found disturbing was to play for a national title at home. The national title game should be played on neutral turf. FM
  7. I didn't count rim fire. I shoot our club matches when the weather was decent or I didn't have to work. But in July I shoot our club match and 2 tournaments that pushed my annual round count up. Probably shoot more rounds checking zero than training. And my match results reflected what I put down range. Now where did I put those happy go lucky days of having a job instead of my own business! FM
  8. Is there an acceptable lead count? I haven't been able to shoot since September so I'm not too worried. But I want to know in case I hit the lottery tomorow night! FM
  9. Jim Anglin at Sailors Custom might have some info too as he campaigned one for a year or so. FM
  10. If I remember correctly, Bob Dylan sang that there was a "lot of pretty girls in Mozambique". About 1975. FM
  11. Media bias made me a Utah fan for the game. FM
  12. Last week I accidently ran across two being auctioned on ebay. You may want to compare. FM
  13. J-Law just signed with these guys. http://www.skullcandy.com/ Sounds like good stuff. FM
  14. Wrong order. Guns, ammo, then food and water. If push comes to shove, with guns and ammo, you can always get food and water from the folks who don't "believe" in guns.... Ha hah... this reminds of Y2K a bit... folks were asking (being a computer guy) if I was concerned, etc. I kept saying No, but you might get an extra gas bill. Then they'd inevitably ask if I was stock piling food, or had gotten a generator - because, of course, they were setting things aside and building a little stockpile, etc. I'd say, no, not doing any of that. They'd ask "what if something bad happens"? I'd say... If something bad happens, I have guns and ammo - and you just told me where I can get food and water. The look on their faces was always priceless Water then food. You can live a lot longer without food than water. FM
  15. JF - All Major Open loads in 9x19 Major and .38 Super (and variants thereof) are over listed data. AutoComp seems to be in the same ballpark as 7625, and lots of Open shooters use 7625, so they'll just exceed listed data like they do with other powders. It might work, it might not, but SAAMI pressure limits have never been an issue for Open shooters. Uh, not quite, In less than a minute I found a whole bunch of published listed data making major in 38 Super and 1 load in 9mm with a 4 inch barrel with VVN105. I assume a few more would do it with a 5 + barrel. And this was main stream published Data from RCBS.load I went to Vihta Vouri's website and found one 9x19 load and 22 .38 Super loads they list as making Major, so I may be wrong, but if their reported velocities are like the ones in US reloading data, there's no telling how many loads (if any) they report as making Major actually do so out of real handguns. They also show three standard pressure .38 Special loads making Major, which really requires a willful suspension of disbelief IMO. I believe that VV powders are good, but not that they're magical. It's The Mirrors. FM
  16. I'm with Rich; I just store them in a cabinet. I don't need to look at them when I'm not using them. FM

    $2.75

Crude went up a little today but we've been stuck at $1.499 for about a month in Rock Port MO. Not too bad and I know i have saved hundreds of bucks over the month of December compared to december 2007. FM
  18. Nope, unfortunately not... I'm the 6'4", 240lb version of Jeff Ward... I don't fit in an Indy Car, and I don't ride a Kawasaki... LOL Use to own a Suzuki GSXR 750... I'm a poor fitness pro in FL. JeffWard Cool & cool name! FM
  19. I am considering that; I have a custom buit SS that doesn't have a 1,000 rounds through it! Get back to the basics! FM
