  1. How do you catch a GM? Simple: set a bear trap on the firing line!
  2. I'm a big fan of the deltapoint and as others have mentioned you can find them online for <$350, or around $300 if you poke around Gunbroker.
  3. Holy crap! Scary stuff. I've only done about 8 or so matches but I've yet to see anyone get DQed or do anything especially unsafe. Shooting yourself in the leg is pretty nuts.
  4. I've done a bunch of matches at TMGN and their stages are legit. It helps that they've got a pretty big club with lots of support.
  5. I also have an X5 and think it's a fantastic gun. Welcome!
  6. Just installed the GG kit today and I absolutely love it. Trigger is probably 2.5-3 lbs and very short and smooth. Can’t wait to take it to the range!
  7. Well guys, you sold me on the idea. I went ahead and registered for the Immortal Arms Delmarva Section USPSA Championship in September. It’s only a level 2 match but they have 40 squads over three days! Definitely looking forward to it.
  8. I'm in Area 8 and there's a few big matches coming up. The thing is that I've only shot like 8 matches total, and I'm currently a dinky D shooter. Does it make sense to pony up the cash and drive 3+ hours for one of the big sectionals or state matches? I really like shooting but I'm not sure what I'd get out of a big match.
  9. I'd really like to see an X5 in .40
  10. Just ordered mine tonight with the curved trigger. Just couldn't get used to the straight trigger.
  11. I like doing a lot of matches since I don’t really have too many other places to shoot. I’m doing three this week, for example.
  12. Hey everyone. I've been absorbing information from this board since I started shooting competitions back in early March. Suffice it to say, I got bitten by the bug - hard. I'm at the range two to three times a week, and even though I've only shot three matches so far, I'm trying to up that to 1-2 times a month. This sport is so fun and positive that I just can't get enough of it! And living in northern Virginia has really spoiled me for matches - there's practically a dozen clubs within easy driving distance of me. Right now I shoot a lightly-modified Glock 34 in production, but I recently got a Sig 320 X5 with a DPP that I want to try in CO. Anyway, I'm just glad to be here!
