  1. Yeah I havent tried the Hennings, only the LOKs. I fell in love with the LOK grips. Stock 3 had a little molesting to get them to fit flush but my stock 2 fit flush right from the rip with no gaps or rocking corner to corner. I originally had the flat ones and tried my buddies palm swell and ordered them immediately after I let his gun go from my hand lol. I do have a difficult time getting a consistant grip on the draw still with the palm swell grips but with enough dry fore practice I'll be gun as good as I was with the flat ones. I have months of training on the flat LOKs that I have to get used to the palm swell. Once I have a good grip the palm swell one feel more comfortable to shoot with. 2. Yes like@memphismechanic said it is production legal, thank God because I had a very difficult time reaching the stock mag release without shifting the gun in my grip. (Yes I know most people running the tanfos must shift their grip) but with this mag release I can reach it without breaking grip at all and it's super smooth. These all became production legal as of the new changes from last year that went into effect as of April of 2018 if I am not mistaken. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. Good to hear man, welcome to the tanfo world. Love my stock 2 and 3 Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. Looks like he replaced the cpul spring to a lighter one. Also went to a one piece sear which is a must. Reduced power trigger return and sear spring. And finally I'm sure he put in a patriot defense optimized firing pin spring. Judging by the parts in your pictures that is. This is what 99 percent of tanfo owners do and seems like what was done to yours also. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. I'm glad it's fixed man. Good to hear yall back at it slinging lead Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. Agreed bro. I'm switching to a Stock 2 myself from a 3. Thank God the Mags are the same [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. Unfortunately its not the other way around where I can shoot your Shadow 2 for a day [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Damn CZ perfection Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. @rowdyb Great write up and great point. I would agree with you 100 percent with Transitions and Movement are the most time savers especially in Production Division (which I shoot). With that being said you should always be working on your lowest hanging fruit no matter what that fruit is and that should always be changing as you progress in skill. My splits were at one point .5 which is absolutely horrible and had to be worked on. Now my weakest point is transitions and movement as my splits are average .2 at 7-10 yard target. You also can only shoot as fast as you see the front sight post which the Doubles Drill will help with that and get the timing of you gun down. At the end of the day everything needs to get better and faster for us to get faster and better in this sport. Even the top guys work on every little thing including splits. I personally dont think working on splits is a bad thing but like you said it's not the most important. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. Great point man. I only assume that the screws all walked in Tanfos. I also removed my over travel in my Stock 3 due to the screw walking. I'm not too familar with the limited SAO Tanfos so I was not going to speak too much but I know at the very least clean it and blue loctite. When I get my Limited Custom I'll most likely be removing mine anyways and run it. Good looking out though. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. They sure will. My bladetech holster with Ben stoeger boss mount works with stock 1,2, and 3 Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. My brother had a 40 M&P slide and put in a 9mm barrel and it works great, for RANGE time only. He has a few hiccups here and there but does run nicely. I gave him a few of my 9mm mags so he wasnt using his 40 which people say you can do (they arent wrong, but they are not right either) It's all about reliability for competition. Good luck
  12. @tim_w here is a few pictures of the competition large frame with different grips. First one is the EGD Extreme Aluminum Grips Second one is LOK Palm swell bogies Third one is LOK flat thin bogies All of them had a slight wiggle or rock to the on the right grip panel. There is a small gap where the red circle is. There are numerous ways you can remind this...IMHO LOK bogies are the most comfortable and grippy. The Extreme EGD are very slippery but look amazing. 13. Glad it worked....just remember to blue lock tight in the set screws and when you get the over travel screw to where you want it back it off another half turn. If the limited is anything like the stock 3 and 2s then they like to move on you. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. @BelRiose drop in KKM and Stormlake Barrels are amazing and drop in with great accuracy results, but if you plan on using this for 3 Gun I would suggest a whole knew upper designated 9mm slide and barrel. The 40 cal beach face to me would not be reliable enough to compete in. If you are just doing it for fun then go for it but if you want to be competitive then I suggest a 9mm slide just for reliability reasons. Hate to see you at a match and have an issue that could be avoided. As far as the 2011 that's what most people are using for 3 Gun anyways. Why dont you sell your M&P and get a new 9mm upper fitted to your slide. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. 13 pound spring is not too light. Even with factory loads that will work just fine. I use a 13# and work flawlessly. Hope the cleaning fixes it. Dumb question....how was ejecting for you? You boy may be limp wristing it like you mentioned but I'm assuming you would not be. So curios to see if the problem occures with you as well. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. I have look far and near for a magwell that would work with stock baseplates. (Even baseplates that I filed down myself to make them shorter) I have not seen anything of the sort. I went with all Springer precision stuff and it works flawlessly. I was an M&P shooter for a couple year prior to going to Tanfoglio. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. They are if your splits are more than .25 that's a quarter second man. 4 transitions at that slow of a pace you lost the match match. Splits are not everything but splits and transitions are important. .20 is acceptable and good. I'd he wants to get better and get faster let him. Ben stoeger strives for preteen splits sonot sure what you mean by matches are not won or lost by splits. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. Look up the doubles drill from Ben stoeger. Awesome drill and will help with your splits. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. Shoot Fast Podcast with Cody Axon and Joel Park is an awesome podcast. Listened to all of them within 2 weeks. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. Hey I had the exact same issue....Google practical shooting training group. It's a group put on by Ben Stoeger and Hwansik Kim....you can pay the 20 bucks a month or just get the first month and unsubscribe. @je85 told me about this and this has by far been the best money I ever spent on this sport of USPSA and in shooting in general. 21. I've never had any issues with my Tanfo using regular lube staying wet (clp, rand, Mobil 1, slip, or even Remington oil) I frown upon grease as it collects way to my dirt debris and carbon in areas where I dont want it at all. I reload my ammo and use Titegroup which is a very dirty powder and grease was the worse in any of my firearms. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  22. Lol....weird how that works. It took me forever to learn to shoot my glock straight. Then I has to drift my sight back center [emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. Well the tac sport orange is good oit of the box but if you like tinkering like@je85 said them grab the tanfo. Tanfo needs some trigger work out of the box. Not much hut some. Mags are stupid cheap for tanfoglio. And they offer MBX mags for tanfo if you're into spending butloads of money haha. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. I realized you were looking for limited major gun. I'm not sure on how the trigger reach was on the CZ limited guns but I know@je85 can be more informative on that. As far as smaller hands (like me) I like the Tanfo over the original Tac Sport. I have a buddy of mine that has one in 9mm (same frame as the 40) and my Tanfo fits better. I love the Tac Sport Orange very similar to the Tanfo Limited Custom. @je85 correct me if I'm wrong. He is the one to talk to about CZs. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  25. I have small hands as well. I wear medium gloves and have room. I shoot Tanfo and love them. I like the CZs alot but Tanfo is wear my heart is. Both are great choices. One thing to notice on the CZ Shadow 2 the reach for the DA pull is longer than Tanfo S2 or S3. Seem like you're in this for Limited Division so it wont matter to you much because you're getting the Tac Sport. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
