  1. I'll try it (the C-Clamp technique), but something makes me thing that this WON'T be the techinque to double tap and have 2 A's with 0.10 splits. It seems like a typical grip anybody could suggest, with a slightly different angle.
  2. Any video that explains C-clamp grip techniques? Is that from Kim?
  3. That's why I started this thread. I needed to know what part of rules are exactly letting me do that

    Shadow 2

Just to add more data. Mine lasted about 30'000 rounds. No, wait. I decided to change it, it was still working. Minor load (130-135 PF), 10Lb spring
  5. I don't know if you're answering to me, but I can't read where what most shooters do is forbidden. Unloading and showing clear before the command was given. It even stays within the rules "he must lower his firearm and present it for inspection by the Range Officer with the muzzle pointed downrange, magazine removed, slide/bolt locked or held open, and chamber empty"
  6. That's not what I said. It's ok for me to receive commands, repeat stuff (well, what should I repeat? The gun is unloaded with the slide open). I can't understand why they would say I should wait for commands, if I didn't do anything special (like unloading, and ejecting a round)
  7. Can you provide a link for the floating trigger pin? I'm not sure I understood how it works. ANYBODY using the reduced power trigger return spring -> Any issues with resetting, or fast double taps? Any trigger freeze? Does it reduce the DA pull by 1 pound?
  8. Same, so what would you say if they told you to wait for commands? That's my point. I don't know what to say. I tried to say I'm doing what I can do while still shooting (like unloading, or ejecting a round) but it didn't work.
  9. No. I've never pulled the trigger before the command. Maybe once 'cause I misheard it but it wasn't an issue. I just wait with the slide open. I've heard some RO's "whining" later about it, saying we shooters should wait for commands. Btw one of these, I was told he was a new RO.
  10. I'm talking about Unload and show clear only. So, let's say I accept the fact that they will have to tell me to unload and show clear (that happens anyway), I can't understand why I shouldn't do what I did (like unloading and showing clear before the command). Since I can do that anytime, I can't understand when the rule changes. It seems obvious to me but not for some people and RO's
  11. I feel like my arms are not strong enough to shoot at a master/gm level. I mean, I could reach those levels without needing more muscles, but I feel like that would make a bigger difference than what people (with already good muscles) say. I can clearly see how the gun is not moving in the hands of a strong man compared to how much effort I have to put in. Also, I can clearly tell I have some advantages when there are some bad positions, for my big feet and stronger legs compared to my body. I'm still trying to understand how much and what kind of workout I should go for, but I feel like improving the shoulder/arms will give a good advantage when double tapping.
  12. Any way to explain this to an RO or anybody else? I was told before that I should wait for commands, but why should I wait, if it's not prohibited, and it's not even unsafe? By the way, when I do it, I just wait for every command, I won't pull the trigger before the "hammer down" command
  13. Hi. I can't seem to find if this was answered before (I remember I've read a discussion somewhere), but it's really hard to find. Is there any explicit rule in IPSC that states that a shooter has to wait for Unload and show clear command before unloading and ejecting the round? Isn't it possible to unload and eject a round anytime after the start signal? Why would it be prohibited? I've heard some RO's asking to wait for commands but I can't seem to find any reason why. Of course I'm going to wait to pull the trigger, but I feel safe at unloading instantly.
  14. Too many A's are usually a indication of slowlyness. Unless you are a champion
  15. Can you please explain what it does? I don't understand
  16. How come the 11.5# hammer spring needs winchester and federal while the 11# I'm using lights off everything and has a lot of force? I hear of people using 9lb hammer springs and still using some hard/kinda hard primers
  17. Yes, they do, but if that implicitly changes how the gun works, that won't be allowed. That's what I meant. I had a discussion about safeties with a range master. He doesn't know what CGW kit does, but if safeties won't work the same way, the kit won't be allowed. That's why I asked that. So, if everything works the same, it's all good. I guess they won't even check the safety in DA
  18. Maybe that's the difference. So the fact is : a Cajunized Shadow2 (with the full kit) is IPSC PRODUCTION legal, right? The hammer can be changed as far as I know, anything except the barrel (and maybe the bushing?)
  19. Of course it's approved. I was talking about a Cajunized Shadow 2
  20. Safeties must work in DA, SA and the one in the middle (half cock). I've seen it doesn't work in half cock and that is not allowed in IPSC (maybe it is in USPSA)
  21. Is it possible to use it in IPSC Production? It seems like safety won't work like expected so it won't be allowed
  22. It's a striker gun. I don't remember how the action is called in that case.
  23. I don't know what parts are available, but it was definitely better than an improved S2 with anything you wanted. I felt like it was stupid to use a CZ or Tanfoglio
  24. It's the cleanest pull I've ever tried between all these performance guns like Tanfoglio / Shadow2. Even the new Beretta 92X seems to be really good. Short reset, awesome DA/SA. Sights are good too. I don't know about its performance in live fire. If you had a chance to try it, you would notice it right away. I don't even know if Shadow2 + Cajun Gun Works kit would be better than that, but I doubt it. I'm going to end this year with S2 for sure but I would consider using it, until Alien is not ready.
  25. Hello. I actually don't know where to put this question, so any mod feel free to move it. First of all, do you know Arsenal Firearms? There's this striker weapon called Strike One Ergal (there are different models already, and there's a new one coming out). I tried it, and at least for IPSC PRODUCTION, it seems to be much better than CZ Shadow2. It's "DA" pull is even better than Shadow2 SA. Short reset, easy to grip. I didn't try it live fire but I think it's performing as much as Shadow2. All of this happened at the start of 2019 with the new production rules. Is it just not known enough, or there's something else I can't see which makes people pick CZ or Tanfoglio rather than that gun? The price is about the same as the Stock 2 Extreme. Even the sights are - in my opinion - better. Less light between the front sight and the rear sights, making it easier to shoot at 20+ yards.
