  1. What I've seen is, most shooters don't have that kind of splits, but they're greater. So, 0.5 at 25 yards is definetely possible. And I consider transitions more important than splits, but splits require less time to work on (usually)
  2. What about shorter/longer resets? Some people say shorter reset will cause major trigger freeze 'cause the finger will need more accuracy
  3. So will you let the local GM gain 0.30s per split at 25 yards? Like 3 targets at 25 yards. Let's say it's 0.3 per 5 hits. 1.5 seconds. If it takes some tweaks to reach it, I would do it
  4. Of course, but why would you give off an advantage like that? And, I've seen the time changing in terms of tenths of seconds, or seconds. If one takes 0.40 per shot while another one takes 0.15/0.18, there's a clear advantage to me. And also easier to reach than by training a lot (for transitions). I think the optimal is around 9-11 lb, whereas 9 requires a lot of strength compared to 11. The fact is, there are a lot of different manifacturers, and a lot of options in terms of bullet weight, burning rate of the powder (does it matter at all, or is it just the speed?) I'm pretty sure my grip is strong enough, at least as much as I can.
  5. Hello I'm trying to find the best combination possible to have good splits (from 0.10 to 0.20) for targets among 4-12 yards. Most of it will be personal, but I'm sure there is an optimal range of Power factor, Speed and Spring strength. I'm trying 10Lb with 132 Pf (124 grains) and it seems to be a good combination, but not the best. I am not sure it's consistent either. I guess using 115 grains with the same power factor (more FPS) will work better. Anyone with experience about this?
  6. CZ Shadow2, which factor do you tend to use to have flatness? I think the range is somewhat near 132-138
  7. How is it that 147 grains seem to be more precise than 124 grains? I use 124 grains mostly, they're cheap and easy to find. I might consider using 115 in the future. My main concern is : cheap, easy to find, precise. I use RN because they're easier to find, but I would consider TC / FP too. Not looking for bullseye but I want to be sure the error is 99% mine.
  8. Were the shots kinda spread or grouped in any way?
  9. Isn't this a bit outdated? I've seen many top shooters shooting faster than they can see the sights, especially when they know the gun.
  10. I've seen that practicing going a lot faster helped, however : holster, grip can matter A lot of dry fire will help holster placement is one of the most important factors I've found. I'm still training, but I can draw pretty consistently under 0.90 at less than 5 yards and under 1.50 at less than 20 yards. Sight alignment itself may require 0.20 to 0.40s
  11. For any of you doing it freestyle, what is your best result and how much time does it take to shoot every round?
  12. Hi, what do you think are the most important factors to reload 9mm cartriges? Primers, powder, AOL, type of round. At what distance have you found differences? I have little resources to find out at the moment and I'd like to read some opinions/experiences about this topic. I'm not sure I noticed any difference yet (up to 25-30 yards).
  13. Why wouldn't it be permitted in new IPSC handgun rules for example? Don't know about USPSA

    CZ Shadow 2

I've just checked prices. Omg. I hope all that money pays off. 20€ for a mainspring. I actually pay 3€/each and about 5€ for the recoil spring. I mean, if it gives better result, I'd buy it, especially if it gives a better trigger pull and it works with most primers (especially hard ones). Any experience/opinions on who they are?

    TRS: CGW or CZ Custom?

If you had to pick one between the two, what gives a smoother trigger pull? Consider you could buy as many as you want

    CZ Shadow 2

The red colored stock spring seems a bit harder than the older one. I'll give the czc trs a try, I think. I'm looking for the perfect setup. Does the firing pin spring matter that much? In case it's lighter, does the firing pin work better? Even if I had to change it every 2000 rounds, I'd do it, just for competitions. seboweapons hasn't got dawson sights. What is nordic?

    CZ Shadow 2

CZC trigger return spring -> How does it work? Is the trigger more smooth when pressing it? Over travel screw in trigger removed -> to avoid any malfunction in case it moves? czc pre b drop in disconnecto -> Did you try the 0.0mm/ 0.2mm short resets? They cost a little more. I am curious about this pick 2075 firing pin spring -> What is it? Can it be used in IPSC? dawson 240x100 front sight -> Do you find pro's and con's or just pro's? I would like to try it but it can be shipped in Italy so I would like to understand more about it before finding a way
  18. Hi, I know there are a lot of discussions here and there, and it seems like after some pages there is a lot of mess. I'd like to discuss about the various best setups for a Cz Shadow2. Consider you can spend as much as you want (FOR THE GUN ONLY) but you must respect IPSC Production rules. So, the goal will be : -Lightest trigger pull possible, both in DA and SA -It must work with average primers, no need of Federal primers -(optional) Easy double tap within 15 yards ~ (good recoil spring / power factor combinations). -good grip Also, which parts would you change from time to time to ensure the gun works at his best? Like -> new recoil spring every 5000 rounds, new hammer spring every 3000 rounds. List of parts and things which can affect it (I'll edit in case there's something else to consider) hammer spring (different manifacturers and lb's) sear spring (does it change anything?) trigger spring (light, medium, hard) polishing job (where and how?) lighter firing pin spring
  19. Where do you find 10lb main spring? Does it work with Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot, Magtech, Murom primers?
  20. If you had to remove the sear and put a new one (the adjustable one), it would literally take few seconds to make it fit the new hammer
  21. I'm not a grandmaster but I'm 100% sure of a thing : if you never try to go past your limits you won't be faster. 10000 draws won't be enough to do it faster. Try forcing it to be fast at some point
  22. There are no classifiers, just matches. At some, the highest I could reach was A, by doing 89-100%, at the other 6 matches, 75% A, 85% Master, 95% Grandmaster. Shadow 2 is not legal in IDPA, I'm about to buy (again) a SP01 to shoot IDPA too.
  23. Hi, I'm from Italy. I started IPSC last year in september (there's just IPSC and IDPA, and few other disciplines) I'm currently trying to learn the most I can. I'm using a CZ Shadow 2 and having fun with it. I almost reached A with about 73,5%, I did a huge mistake using the wrong primers in a competition (which would have been enough to reach it). However I keep trying to trace my mistakes and solve them.
