This is a known problem and they kind of turn a blind eye to it. They would sell alot more open guns. At least what I can see they are loosing ground to companies like CK (just ordered a gun from them) because of issues like this.

I agree, I shoot for fun and just use range brass. So using just one kind of brass does defeat the purpose of 9 major. At least for my application.

Stove pipes. The bottom of the optic mount is beat up. I have put an aftec extractor in it, tuned the mags, changed brass and work on loads. I haven't changed the ejector, I have been looking into that part a little more. But at this point its kind of the principle that the gun won't function I have been sinking money into a new gun and the company that made it won't contact me back or anything.

I have tried to contact STI multiple times to see if they had in advice but they will not return my call or email. I own a $3500 gun that has malfunctions all the time. I have tried everything but changing the mount, I'm not a fan of the 90 degree mounts. It is irritating that STI won't call or email me back at all. Outside of spending another $400 for an RTS2, I have no idea what to do. Anyone have anything else I can try?

I'm just trying to decided if I want to by the new stick mags or spend the extra on the MBX mags. From what I can tell most people like the max mags.

looks nice! its kind of a cross between the gg and the RHT rests. Whats the red dots on the screws?

Sweet looking gun! I just ordered a CK thats black and has the same PVD finish on the controls and barrel. From the reading I have done seems like a lot of people like the GG rest. I might go with that because it cheaper than the other ones and if I don't like it then I'm not out as much money and also have an idea what I would like better. Have you had any problems with your CK?

That’s my problem I have little baby hands. So I have seen some thumb rests that look like they are made for people with big meat hooks.

How well do they work with the optic mounts on the gun?

Why did you end up switching? The go gun ones look big and bulky.

I have been looking at gas pedals from my new open gun that I ordered. I see a lot of people using go gun and RHT Gas pedals. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on what their favorites are? The go gun ones look like they are very big.

If I don't have to move when the buzzer goes off then I'll look at the first target. If I have to move then I'll look that the spot I need to move to.

Like everyone said apex is definitely the way to go.

Get the CORE. Put a dot on top and if you need it as a back up take the dot off. But some norm height sights on the things because you don't need to co witness with a dot unless you plan to carry the gun.

That's good to hear. I was thinking about getting a custom gun built but this will be my first open gun so I'm thinking ck would be a better option. Plus then I'll have all winter to work up loads and practice before next season of shooting.

Almost got a used ck 9 major from a forum member. Now I'm looking at ordering one from ck with blacked out everything and the PVD finish. Is yours still running great?

I'm having the same issue with mine. Im going to try what these guys recommend and then if all else fails get and rts2 mount and optic.

I would get out and find anouther builder. The guy sounds like he is flakey. Plus you don't want him to rush on the gun and no have it turn out perfect.
