  1. I’m running 10 gr 124 Everglades jhp 1.165 oal. It gives me 170 PF. I shoot a Atlas Chaos 9 major.
  2. It's funny because after I shoot some close targets like you are describing sometimes I think about it and go "nope didn't see my dot." Also when the targets are close you can see the holes easily. I know its a bad habit but I tend to look for the two holes. A lot of time I probably do see my dot, my brain just doesn't process it or remember it.
  3. For my gun (Atlas Chaos) the SWMP was significantly softer. The dot tracks straight up and down while never leaving the window. When I shot HS6 it would go up and to the right. SWMP is a lot cleaner than HS6. As far as the others are concerned aa7 and WAC felt basically the same as HS6. After shooting those I was about to give up finding a new powder until a buddy had some extra shooters world on hand. However all this stuff is very subjective and each gun might like somthing different. Buy a pound of each spend the time and work up different loads to see what you like.
  4. I agree with this. SWMP is great stuff! I used to shoot HS6 and then I tried aa7 and WAC but then I finally settled on SWMP.
  5. I have used some tennis liquid stuff from local department stores. That stuff works just not as well as pro grip. In my opinion pro grip last long than the cheaper alternatives on the market. plus is smells good. Other than that all these grip products work basically the same.
  6. I have been liking my Holosun 510c a lot. It does get dirty and you have to clean it through out the match but its not that big of deal. Dot is a great size for me and it is very bright. If I were to look for a new dot I would check out the R3 XL. But for now I'm happy with the 510c so no need to spend more money.
  7. I use a spring tester for my recoil spring in my open gun. It is really surprising how far off the same brand of springs can be. I use a 6lbs in my open gun. I have measure some other 6lbs springs closer to 7lbs and even one close to 5lbs. So once you find the spring you like, you can test it and then cut down springs until you always achieve that goal weight.
  8. Give Adam a call and he will answer all your questions. Don’t quote me but I think my Chaos is a PT frame ( that’s what they sell on their website). They use KKM barrels. I personally am a big fan of Atlas and am very happy with my Chaos. I haven’t had any reliability issues at all with it. You won’t be disappointed with an of the higher end gun manufacturers. If you want more of a custom gun with really fancy cuts and what not, you might want to lean more to SV. Atlas does do custom guns but I can’t speak to how custom they with make them. When I was shopping I was looking for a gun that just flat out runs and has great customer backing it. Wait time also played a role in my decision making.
  9. I run 4 on both my open and CO rigs. I start with the 4th mag. I like to have a back up mag incase one falls out while running or gets caught on a wall. Plus if you fumble a reload this will leave you with one extra mag just Incase.
  10. It’s 100% silicone, food coloring, and cornstarch. Took about 2 hours to cure. Look up proto putty on YouTube for instructions.
  11. I mounted the 510c to my open gun and used Proto Puddy aka Oogoo. It’s a mixture of silicone, food coloring, and cornstarch. Tapped off my optic and formed this moldable rubber around it. After it’s cured you can take it off trim to your liking and you have a rubber scope cover.
  12. I am also considering going to the Guga Ribas pouches. I’m not a fan of the DAA racer pouches I currently have.
  13. If you don't mind posting a picture I would appreciate that. Did you shoot it much without the blast shield and how dirty did it get?
  14. I have an atlas mount on order as well. Please update of your thoughts on the blast shields and maybe some pictures if possible
  15. Atlas makes great guns! Their customer service is top notch! If you ever have a problem you can give them a call and they will get it taken care of. The wait time is minimal compared to other companies, but you are not sacrificing quality.
  16. I have SV mags, STI gen2 mags, and MBX mags. They all work as long as you have them tuned right. Yes the sti mags need tuned when you get them. The mbx mags were good to go right away. But after a few months they all need retuned anyway so to me it’s not a big deal. My most recent mags are the STI mags because they are a better deal after their price drop.
  17. This why I just picked up a Holosun 510c. The window on the DPP is just to small. So hopefully the Holosun will fix that problem for me.
  18. I guess the other question is how confident are you that your chrono is right? Also if you shot on a sunny day the chrono can give you some wrong numbers.
  19. If I were going to put a new dot on my gun I would look at the Holosun 510c. Sig is coming out with a new optic also that has a massive window.
  20. Personally I like a smaller dot. The 2.5 DDP has been great! I did have a 6 MOA RTS2 and it was good as well. But I find that on further targets and steel plates I get better hits with the smaller dot.
  21. I just tried it in my Atlas Chaos and I’m going to start using it over HS-6. The only problem is finding the Shooters World.
  22. If you could take a picture of the tilted case that would be helpful. When I was having problems with 650 it was because the timing of the shell plate was off. So the case wasn't lining up with the die and would hang up on the side of it. I ended up fixing this problem by adjusting my roller cam.
  23. So is the case not being seated all the way into the first position so it hangs up when you try to deprime? Do you have any after market parts on the 650?
  24. I have an Atlas Chaos and it is great! Honestly there is not much of a difference between my gun and my buddies Akai however he might think his is better . When I was looking to buy a new open gun I called Atlas on a Sunday and Adam talked to me for over 30 min about his guns. The customer service from Atlas is fantastic. The gun, well the gun is everything I wanted in an open gun. The fit and finish is top notch. At the end of the day the choice is yours. Akai is a great builder there is no arguing that however, Atlas is just as good. You will not be disappointed either way. When I made my choice it came down to 2 things. Price and Lead time. When you build a gun similar to the atlas chaos from akai you are looking at easily $1500-2000 more. Tack onto that over a year wait. Well that made my decision simple and I don’t regret it one bit.
  25. Go with 3mm TTI pads for 170s and 7mm for 140s
