  1. Sounds like a stroke or two will suffice. I have two that I've fitted and after some dry fire and about 500 rounds of break in it wears in perfect. No hanging and slides right into battery.
  2. Ok cool, sounds like under live fire it should more than likely run fine. Only issue is if you trim off too much it might have trouble extracting due to not enough tension. Interested to know if my advice for sure resolved it
  3. Mine happened only with reloads as well (on my 45). I tightened up the crimp and it helped but still had trouble and the extractor spring ended up fixing it. When you reload, does is it occur when it auto forwardsr, dropping the mag release, or going over the top?
  4. I'm telling you, your extractor spring is too tight. Look at the second picture you posted, the case is hung on the extractor in the rear. The extractor isn't over the case rim. I've been there and fought the same issue until I finally figured it out. Test it per my previous post. You should be able to induce the malfunction by slowly closing the slide by hand with a loaded mag.
  5. Thanks for the info. I'll at least give this a try and see if I can get it to work well for me. If I get it working well I think I'll get a spare punch and try to extend it or I'll see if a friend of a friend that owns a lathe will make me one cheap.
  6. You could also try red loctite under the sight/dovetail. Once cured it should help to keep it in place also gives with the set screw itself.
  7. I had the same issues on a M&p 45, the extractor spring is too stiff causing it to hang. To test and verify, induce malfunction. Once malfunction is present set on flat surface. Take something hard, like a spare bullet, and press at the rear of the extractor on the outside of the slide. This will cause the extractor to open up and the slide should slam shut. If it shuts, you found the problem. I ended up triming the extractor spring, like 3/4 of a coil or so, and resolved the problem.
  8. Ok thanks, with the boss being the original, giving more support, and $10 cheaper I'll go that route on my next monthly order from BSPS.
  9. Can anyone tell me the difference between the Springer precision/RHT holster hanger vs the BOSS holster hanger and what's their preference?
  10. Thank you, I'll have to order one up soon!
  11. That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the information.
  12. On RHT website they don't specifically list the limited pro, but they do list "Limited/Stock 2" Does anyone know if that particular model will also fit a Limited Pro?
  13. I ordered the bladetech since comptac did not have any for the lim pro and I've dealt with the same troubles. I thought I wanted a comptac, but after seeing the RHT that's on my list now! Does anyone know if the RHT sits close enough to the waist to remain IDPA legal? (pass the dowel test)
  14. Yes I know how to measure primer depth, the press is bolted to a butcher block counter top, press is tight and zero shift. Consistently get .001 above to .001 below using CCI. But I was unaware that CCI are taller than Winchester. Which I imagine is why I'm overthinking seating these deeper. Sounds like I need to get some Winchester and retest. Just have another 13k CCI I was trying to go through first while fighting the 1/100 light strike.
  15. Nice, I've been thinking of cutting the corners on my super sight but haven't pulled the trigger on it just yet. I have seen a few guys with their sights set up like that and they say they really like them
  16. I'm not sure if one does. The remedy might just be "push harder" when seating primers, which I have done, but still can't get the primers that deep.
  17. Ok I wasn't aware, did you have to make any modifications? Or did it slide right on?
  18. Nice to know, I know EGD makes a fixed rear sight for those tired of the super sight coming apart/don't want to worry about it coming apart in a match
  19. Is there anyway to adjust primer depth on a 550? Someone has to have some tricks up their sleeve. Only thing I can think of would be to weld on the primer seating punch itself and grind flush to add .005 or so
  20. Thanks for the link, I'll be needing a mount for a hunter 10mm before deer season rolls around and this will work perfectly.
