  1. I feel like the Gen 5 34 has slightly less with the same set up. I like the way the new longer RS (Jager/13lb) and solid top slide seem to take some of the edge off.

I'm also curious how the nickel grips look on the gun. I'm interested in the red as well and how it looks in person. They appear bright in some pics while more of a blood red in others.
  3. After a little research it doesn't appear that the wide S2 hammer will work in any standard 75 model due to them having a narrow notch in the slide.
  4. Standard #10035. I just got back from the range and everything works perfectly. Primer strikes also look good pairing it with an 85 pin/rami spring and 11lb hs.
  5. Sounds good. That is exactly why I went with the factory go fast parts.
  6. Today I literally dropped in a new Pre B disco, CZC comp hammer and strut. I didn't even have to fit the safety. I have the "that was to easy feeling" though everything seems to be functioning fine. Is this common or am I just lucky or missing something?
  7. I have been looking at getting a standard CZ75 compact. Will the S2 hammer work in that without changing any other parts?

    Shadow 2 LOK Grips

One of the reviews on YouTube show's a set of thin profile grips that Lok custom made extra thick for large hands. I would call Lok and see what they suggest.

If you like the stock grips and just want a more agressive texture the thin bogies are great.
  10. Since changing the way my gun feels during recoil by removing the buffer I now prefer the 125's. The front sight movement is fast and consistent.
  11. I didn't have the thin buffer with me but I felt the thicker one gave a delayed like thud. Kinda reminds me of when you hit something with a dead blow hammer if that makes any sense.
  12. I was able to do some recoil spring testing yesterday and prefer the 11lb. What I didn't expect was how much less muzzle flip there was after removing the thick buffer. Are the buffers preventing actual long term damage or just meant to soften recoil?
  13. I think your mag dropping issue is normal as it sounds like the notch is barely cleared and the release is closing on the material above it. The combination of the spring breaking in, heavier base pad and punching the the crap out of the button should clear it up.
  14. Despite the massive amount of polishing required I did prefer how the Tanfo lifting worked and how tuning was as easy as ordering a few springs from Henning. This spring is a bit finiky as I had to make another adjustment on the new one to keep the mag from bumping it out of the groove. It looks like the bend around bolt is a bit to horseshoe shaped causing it to close up when tightened down. I opened it up to look more like the one in the tuning 101 thread and now everything seems to line up with clearance.

    shadow 2 crack?

This issue is and the fix is covered in this thread.
  16. I ended up throwing the new spring in and kind of glad I did. Everything looked even but I don't think it was providing even pressure. Not worth chancing it on a couple dollar part you have to stake down.
  17. I have a Johnny Glocks Comp kit and it's a great trigger. I like how he uses all modified Gen 5 parts for the kit as well.

I meant at that time. I believe it was BENOS15 now that I've thought about it.

I can't remember what it was but I just e-mailed them and he got back to me in less than an hour with a code.
  20. My new Shadow 2 had an issue with the spring installed at the factory having a couple bad bends causing it to contact front corner of the mag. Inserting the mag would knock it out of the groove and it would ride against the frame. It took quite a bit of tweaking and eventually removing it to get it sorted out. It's seems perfect now but I'm not sure if I should trust it or just replace it with a spare that's on the way. How resilient are these springs to being bent into shape?
  21. I haven't had an issue with the new mag catching the front of the magwell but inserting them into my new mag pouches without the front cutouts can be a little tricky.

    Thanks. That sounds about perfect.
  23. I tried out the Blue 135tc's today and they ran flawlessly and accurate. A very easy bullet to load and I had no issues passing the plunk test out to 1.1350". That said I still prefer the feel of the 147's.

    Shadow 2 Grips

How thin are these in comparison to the stock S2 aluminum grips?
  25. I tested coated 125's and plated 147's in my new S2 (11lb RS) and prefer the heavier bullet though they did seem a little sluggish. I'm thinking something in the middle might be perfect so I ordered a BB 135TC sample pack.
