  1. Just talked to Adam @ Atlas... They are building my limited gun and he uses N320 for limited. So N320 is it for now, I'll start with what works for the builder.
  2. I have used #7 for 38sup... a little dirty but a good powder IMO G
  3. I have a lot of W231 on the shelf now and used it years ago for 40cal and still do for my 45acp loads.
  4. I had loose primer pockets and was blowing the primer out....(9mm major load) 15 times out of 40, never happened with once fired or new Starline. I called X-Treme and they gladly provided a return label and 100% credit to my CC. I'm staying with once fired bulk brass. Great customer service in my book from X-treme though. G
  5. Not that this is a major deal but this load is for a 2011 base. G
  6. I've been looking at a lot of load data for major 40 limited and seems that Titegroup and VV-N320 are at the top of the list. The powders are at the opposite end of the price scale..... am I missing something here? Why use the n320 when tg is $10 a pound less? Does it meter better, more consistent, less pressure, softer shooting, more accurate, what? Thanks in advance for your input G
  7. Yup.... I sight in at 15-18 yds. This works great for me 5-35 yds. and that's in 99% of the matches we shoot around here. G
  8. another look matching the lines of the rear serrations.... under construction finished product
  9. I don't think the transition from 140 to 155 is that noticeable.... 170 feels more clumsy but with more practice that should change too.
  10. I have found the Colt Competition to be hit or miss. I do have a Colt Special Combat Government that is about as good from Colt's custom shop as I've seen.
  11. Aprox .... 8x13x2 that's close
  12. Great Idea.... love to repurpose something that has a bigger market and competition, making it less $$$ G
  13. Springfield or Colt..... would be my choice.
  14. With just getting in to the Open game I went with three 140's, one 155 and one 170 all MBX. I know I'll never need all at one time.... but stuff happens and you may fine yourself needing a replacement mag between stages. Also for the small dollar difference I wanted to try a 155. To each there own and just my .02 G
  15. I'm that guy... bought a CK open in 9mm four weeks ago. Not a 100 rounds and a cracked slide. 4k + invested and will wait 4-6 weeks for repair. I paid to return 95.00 and no gun to shoot, not blaming Bobby @ CK for the crack but hope I do get reimbursed for the return shipping to him. Time will tell but it needs to be made right. Still I'm bummed out about this but what are you gonna do?
  16. Just ordered a Limited full custom from Adam. I felt comfortable with my decision and looking forward to having a awesome Limited 40 for next season. Just my .02 G
  17. Don't remember my A#.... but my member # is L504 G
  18. OK after some conversation... some a little late I made a choice. I have a terrible habit of going to the top and that would mean 6K + I have just got back into the USPSA sport after a BIG layoff. I thought I would go midline and see if the open thing was for me @ 59 and never able to compete like I did 25 years ago this would be a good starting point. If things go well next year I'll look at a full custom from one of the top builders. That said and after talking to Bobby at CK arms and having one just coming off the semi-custom build line not spoken for with all S/S upper and lower and with a little bling. I went with 9 major, and CK Arms. Waiting for the actual gun to arrive but this is the best rendition on my new blaster in the open class. Now just the wait to get it in my hand and to the range!!
