  1. I had the exact same problem. 10# brand new recoil spring, polished breechface as shining as a mirror. Polished slide rib corner no sharpness at all. My gun is fairly new, and I tried manually push up/down a round along the breechface - very smooth yet not too loose. It feels just right to me. Could this be a magazine problem? I am using Mec-Gar. Or maybe ammo issue?
  2. The "Hopkins" is a great transition drill for dry fire.
  3. For people who are having trouble to turn the elevation screw on the top, it is most likely the set screws under the flap have backed out to push the flap upwards. As a result, the flap cannot be pushed downwards. That makes the elevation screw extremely hard to turn. You just have to use brute force to turn it - make sure you turn it up not down, because the flap won't go down further with the set screws pushing from below.
  4. OK. I finally got them off. The dent inside the screw was damaged. That's why the screw won't turn, until I used a wise and applied force... Here is how it looks inside the LPA adjustable rear:
  5. I have tried hard to unscrew the elevation screw, but I found that it won't budge no matter what I do. Tried to pressing down on the top flap hard, but it looks like something is pushing it up hard and it won't dip at all. Anyone has any tips how to deal with a stuck elevation screw?
  6. This one is different than the one on Stock 2. I will try to unscrew the elevation screw see if it will open the top flip. Maybe there are set screws underneath.
  7. Does anyone know how to secure the LPA sight that is sliding left and right in the dovetail? Is there a set screw I need to tighten up? Or do I need to replace the whole thing? Thanks.
  8. Sorry I have putty on my EGD grips maybe that's why it's heavier... I did not weigh EGD before putting putty on them. With cold weld putty on, they are heavier
  9. I have both and the EGD grips are 0.1-0.2 oz heavier than the SSI scale ones. Henning grips are the heaviest. SSI scale is the lightest among all metal grips.
  10. So PrimaV is a better powder than N320? Does it meter well? Temp sensitivity? Looks like recoil is even less than N320 which is great.
  11. Only $70 markup for my Stock2s and Lim Pro. I'd say it's very fair price.
  12. I think the IR laser is a much have if you are training with SIRT. Also, only Glock and MP shooters.
  13. We are in the exact same boat! I wonder how many clubs don't pay the activity fees... Can I pay my own fee to get my scores posted? How much would that be?
  14. You are not using extra power extractor spring, are you? I'd suggest try old extractor + new spring and new extractor + old spring see which combo works,
  15. Does anyone know quantitatively how much softer the Win primers are compared to CCI? Let's say on a 1-10 hardness scale, if Federals are hardness = 1, can I say Win hardness = 5 and CCI hardness = 8?
  16. Cannot beat lifetime member. I am bought.
  17. Need to practice this skill with an IDPA legal gun though
  18. I started with the 620 between the frame and bottom of the front sight, plus blue on the set screw. Became loose 1 month later. Then I switched to red loctite on the set screw. No problem so far - 2 months and counting. Red loctite is the key.
  19. I thought USPSA outlawed any drones over matches. I pre-ordered the SoloShot 3, which requires 30 sec to set up, a huge improvement over the first generation. It will become available in Sept. https://shop.soloshot.com/
  20. My main S2 was done by Jim and it runs great.
