  1. Unlikely. Swap the BCG with the other and see if that works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Wow! How can someone talk about this for 7 hours?!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Great info! I have some cfe223 that I’ll try. Will also try TAC as others have mentioned before ordering in bulk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I load 55s with H335 and it meters like water too. I'm just wondering if I can get similar performance (3/4 moa out to 700 yards) using a ball powder with 77s. I'm sure I can run varget through my dillon measure but I would think that charge weights would be inconsistent with a stick powder.
  5. The dillon trimmer would definitely makes the job easier. But if you want to save a few pennies, the drill mounted trimmers that index off case neck are pretty nice. I’ve had the little crow WFT and now use the giraud tri-way. For $15-20 more (around $100 I think) I think it’s far superior. Trims, chamfers and deburs in on step. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My go to powder for 77 gr smk is Varget. I typically only load 100 at a time so using my single stage and trickling powder is no big deal. However, I’m thinking about buying and loading in bulk (1-2k) and loading on my 650. I’d prefer not to run Varget or similar stick powder through the dillon powder measure bc it does not meter as well as a ball powder. Has anyone found a ball powder that can match the accuracy and velocities of their favorite stick powder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Here ya go. They have a few others too. https://sierrabulletsblog.com/2015/08/12/reloading-101-case-diagnostics/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’ve never had any issues loading scratched brass. I think it was Sierra that made some posts about brass inspection. What’s acceptable and not. I’ll see if I can find it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Check out https://www.practicalshootingtraininggroup.com/forums/ Stoeger and Kim do very detailed breakdowns of stages they shot. A paid membership is required but there’s is a ton of value! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I haven’t and don’t plan on it. 1.13 really isn’t that long and less than some factory ammo. I actually tried a box of factory fmj and had 4 of 50 lock it up. The more I researched it seems that this is a known thing with CZs. Not sure why it is but I’d rather get it reamed for maximum reliability. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for your help on this! It'll be in your hands in a few days.
  12. No go from patriot defense. Said the melonite barrel kills their reamers. I was having trouble with my loads (147 pc 1.13 oal) so tried some factory fmj. Had one round in 50 lock it up pretty good. I’m sure I could just load shorter but I want to be able to run anything. Thoughts on where to send? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’m not sure. Don’t see any other than cold hammer forged on their website. I’ll call patriot defense tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. What’s the go to place to have my barrel reamed? I thought it was patriot defense but their website says. “We no longer offer this service for CZ or other melonite treated barrels” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yes. I saw this and thought it was the perfect solution but I don’t think it would be production legal. I messaged them but have not heard back. https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/red-dot-mounting/rds-plate-fixed-shadow2-sight.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Good thread. You really have to work on making weight when starting with a heavy gun. I’m shooting limited with a 2011 all next season so I guess I have plenty of time to figure out the best option Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks. And just so I’m clear, once you mill the slide you’ll never be able to take it back to a production gun with that slide, right? Even if you put a plate and sight back on, the cuts required to make weight kill it. At least that’s my understanding... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Is there any way to buy one? Haven't been able to find them anywhere online. I'd like to get one milled for CO and keep the stock slide for production. If not, is there another solution that does not involve buying a 2nd gun?
  19. After one full season. Held up pretty well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I shot this gun all last season until switching to Limited after Area 8. So, after about 12,000 rounds fired and daily dryfire since doing the grip job, it's nearly as grippy as when I first applied. I'll post an updated picture when I get a chance.
  21. You’re probably right. I’ll suck it up and buy one before next season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Good point. I’ll probably be at one in a couple of weeks that should have a gauge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That makes a lot more sense. Looks like all but the one with a 4mm tti basepad should be good. Guess it’s time to watch Adams mag tuning videos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I’m sure it is but I’d hate to spend $40 on something I’d use once. I guess a better question for me to ask would be where do I measure? I checked a stock 18 round sti mag and it’s 145mm! I’m assuming that I’m not taking the measurement from the right spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Is it as simple as measuring overall length and making sure you’re under 141.25 mm? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
