  1. Curious if anyone has spoken to Ernie Hill recently. I can't reach him. I sent him $385 in January for a holster, 4 mag pouches and a belt for my Son, and hasn't replied to phone calls, emails, text messages or Facebook page messages since receiving my payment. I had to dispute the charge with PayPal, it's been 7 weeks, no shipment and no reply from Ernie. My son sees him on Facebook actively liking posts, but will not respond. I ordered the gear my son needs from another vendor so he can start the season, unfortunately I'm out $385 with nothing to show for it, and will have to work with PayPal for a refund, shouldn't be too difficult as he hasnt replied to them either, but will have to wait and go through the process. Curious if anyone knows what is going on with this guy. Quote Edit Quote this

I hope he didn't keep your money, never ship the order, and never reply like he did with us. I was pretty surprised. 3. Thanks Eric, just watched PKs video with his mod. Good thing too, hadn't thought about over insertion problems with my lower, probably because I'm not running 3 gun with it and not hitting prone positions where I would monopod with the mag.
  4. I had lots of problems with ETS mags, very surprised to hear this with a stock Glock mag. The bolt shouldn't come in contact with the mag, wonder how that happened.
  5. Thanks Eric. I thought the QC10 has a feed ramp built in, it's a very nice lower... I've got a common New Frontier Armory (NFA) Glock lower that needs help! The Glock Mag feeds at a much steeper angle than Colts.
  6. Thanks Bill. Mine ran 100% with plated RN and I could just stick with those, but would like to be able to run some hollow points if possible. I will post an installation and performance report once it arrives.
  7. Thanks kmca. Good to hear that installation was easy. I'm really looking forward to this. I had my best groups with Xtreme HP but couldn't get them to feed reliably with that Ogive, hopefully this will work. Let us know how yours feeds after you get to the range.
  8. Just came across this feed ramp, looks like a new Taccom product, has anyone installed one? I can run plated round nose in my Joe Bob's NFA Spartan 9mm Glock lower and AR style upper, but coated, flat nose and hollow points don't quite make the barrel chamfer and jam the action, hoping this feed ramp does the trick. https://taccom3g.com/product/taccom-glock-lower-feedramp/
  9. Sounds like The Donald ran into the same problem and solution that worked for me. It's a 2 second fix.
  10. I had this happen last week on my XL650 loading 40 S&W. Turned out all I had to do was loosen the cam screw (#9 on user manual diagram) and adjust the case insert slide and slide cam. That fixed it.
  11. Great review. I'm very interested in one. I checked their website but do not see a 40-9 conversion barrel for a G35, they had a 40-9 conversion barrel for the G23 but not for a G35, also didn't see a straight 40 cal barrel for the G35, wonder why, and if there are plans to release those in the future. I am interested in those 2 options.
  12. Red Hill Tactical. Level 2 competition holster. http://redhilltactical.com
  13. I have the new 10 round limited MBX mags with both slide lock and competition followers. They run flawless in my CK. No problems emptying all 10 before slide lock engaged, the competition followers ran as they should, no slide lock. I'm very, very happy with my MBX mags. So nice to have equipment that functions as it should out of the box! Runs perfect with no tweaking. Payton and Adrian are also very responsive, and helpful, if you ever need assistance with an order.
  14. I leave the end caps loose when done tumbling so the rubber gaskets don't get compressed. Hoping they last longer that way.
  15. Sounds like you may have isolated the issue to one batch of mixed brass. If you've successfully loaded other batches of mixed brass, chances are there is something about this batch of cleaned brass that requires closer inspection. Definitely contact the brass supplier to discuss.
  16. What is the head stamp ? Sounds like you are using stepped brass, look for a ring on the inside of the brass wall.
  17. Regardless of diameter, I think over belling more than most would expect will be the solution
  18. Just realized my shaving issue with black bullets was with their 9mm 147 compared to the blue bullets 9mm 147s ... which were .001 different in diameter. The BBIs in 40 are .400 diameter
  19. I believe the .001 makes more of a difference than you think. My first moly coated bullets were Blue Bullets, and had no shaving issues at all. Blue Bullets are .400 but then I tried BBI with the same die settings and had lots of shaving issues, BBIs are .401 however, I do think you are right about the belling. I over belled way more than I thought I should and it cured my shaving problem with the BBIs, the OP's first photo with the bullet standing upright on the case mouth looks like sufficient belling, but you might try going further to see if it helps, you might be surprised, I was....
  20. +1 ... My set screw on the ram that holds the shell plate bolt worked loose and the shell plate indexing bound up, ended up with a broken index ring last week ... I called Dillon and a they picked up immediately, sent me 2 new index rings and the alignment tool which arrived 2 days later. They were great. Love my Dillon and their service.
  21. I dropped the WST charge on 180 and 200 grain loads to test light loads for 3 gun / steel challenge but then tried a 140 grain moly coated with 4.1 grains of WST and was blown away. Very soft, flat, and very accurate. I'm sold on 140 grain for 40 cal light loads for 3 gun. Bayou and Ibejiheads offer them in 140 grain. Ibejiheads offer them in both .400 and .401 diameter. I've been loading the .401 Ibehiheads and love em.
  22. I would love to hear how many shots it took to spin it completely with minor power factor 147 grain 9mm loads. I bet it was at least 9-10. It's important to know how to shoot a spinner, but shooting it with a 9mm minor load is going to take a loooong time.
  23. I was using 3.2grains of Titegroup, then moved to 3.3 grains of N320 which was nicer (softer, not as hot, clean) but recently tried 3.8 grains of WSF for my 147 grain 9mm loads and was blown away. Very soft and very accurate, also reasonably priced. It's definitely worth trying WSF with 147gr 9mm
  24. I was using Dillon .40 carbide dies with great success. I only switched to a Redding Competition Seating die because I am loading different OALs for a CK Thunder 2011 and a Glock 35 and like the ability to switch OAL back and forth easily using the built in micrometer, but otherwise would have stuck with the Dillon dies. I'm going to try the Redding dual ring sizing die because I got a deal on a complete set of Redding dies which included the dual ring sizer, but had very few case gauge failures using mixed range brass and the Dillon dies.
  25. The extra belling and Redding CSD should solve the issue, the bell in your photo looks sufficient. Are you using case lube when re-sizing? Ibejiheads offer both .400 and .401 but if you don't request the .400 in the drop down option when ordering they send the .401 by default. I've been seating their .401 diameter without scraping the coating but you might have better luck with the .400 diameter option.
