Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. As a shift worker sometimes if I want to make it to a match I have to do it on no sleep after working all night. I will have to say that I usually shoot as well or better than I do with a good nights sleep probably because I feel so bad that I'm running on auto pilot and just doing it with out over thinking everything.
  2. Not sure what you mean by semi loose, but they hold them tight enough that I don't generally have to worry about them being there when I need them. You can knock shells out of just about any of them if you try hard enough, but it seems to me that Invictus has about the best tension for keeping the shells on your belt but still allowing you to pull then off easily to load fast.
  3. Get some Invictus practical caddies and some dummy rounds and start practicing quad loading.
  4. I got this scope mounted and zeroed on the wife and I's rifles last weekend. So far I am very impressed. Nothing different than what everyone else has said. The glass is much better than you would expect from a scope at this price point. The dot isn't daylight bright, but I very seldom ever turned on the illumination on my last scope unless it was getting towards the end of the day. The reticle is what makes this scope. It takes a little getting used to with bracketing holdovers, but they are dead on with my 69 grain load. Looking forward to what they have in store for the future.
  5. He knew you were out of state and weren't going to take it to court. It would have been interesting to watch him testify to "estimating" your speed. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  6. I couldn't leave it alone. Loaded up a few more with 4.2 grains of Power Pistol. Got the velocity up to 950fps and low and behold the tumbling went away and accuracy was OK, but not spectacular. I guess I'll be able to use up the bullets, but it isn't going to be the soft shooter I was hoping for. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  7. That's what I'm thinking, but if I push them any faster it defeats my purpose. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  8. Tried .356 and .357. Bore slugs at .355. Bullet is .682 long. Gave up after .357. I'm chalking it up to a failed experiment. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  9. I think it is just too long to stabilize at the speeds I want to shoot it at. I could probably switch to a slower powder and drive it harder, but that kind of defeats the purpose. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  10. I am officially giving up on the Lyman 356637 bullet. No matter what I do I can't keep it from tumbling. Back to the 125 grain black bullets. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  11. Gotcha. Think I'm going to run with win231 for awhile. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  12. Wasn't aware I was trying to impress anyone. Just looking for some information. Since I have been "coached" in the past I guess I will just say thank you for your input. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  13. I went ahead and tried win231. I started at 3.1 grains at 1.058 oal for an average of 825fps. Since my bullet drops from the mold at 156 grains I am getting just over minimum power factor. I may bump it up just a touch more for insurance, but so far I'm happy. Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
  14. I am working up a load for hi tek coated Lyman#356637. My original plan was to use the pile of win231 I have accumulated, but looking for load data hasn't turned up much. Just looking for some input as to what everyone else is using. So far I have tried power pistol, titegroup and unique all of which I have published data for. I haven't found anything impressive yet. 15. I found a 60" soft case on eBay for my wife's M3000. It's not the best case but it was the only one I could find at the time that would hold the shotgun with the plus nine installed. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
