  9. I tried posting before and somehow only when I post a "thread" counts not replies to other's comment.
  10. What is everyone's preparation routine before they run the stages? Do you look at your mags to see if they are to your division capacity, getting ready in position, thinking about the stage and air gunning while closing your eyes? At least right now I take my time before I actually start to shoot, it calms the mind and makes your execution of the stages better. "Take your time, no need to rush, plan well and execute"
  11. Mental Preparation for Area 5 and Michigan State IDPA this weekend! Back to back match! What a busy month!

  12. So I went to the Production Nationals this past weekend for the first time. 29th out of 101 Production B shooters, lot of learning curves for sure. Anyways, the next day my buddy and I decided to go to a local match to practice for Area 5 that is coming up this weekend. Keep in mind we drove 8 hours back to MI from Quincy,IL and got back about 4 am in the morning and had to get up at 7 I was grumpy, hungry and there was a tough stage that I ran through in my head for so long that I swear that I hit 2 A on that target and there was no way that I didn't engage it. Said it to myself many time to engage that target at the corner right after a reload and end up accusing ppl for pasting the target before it was scored. Then we reviewed the video an of course, I didn't even engage it. I apologized to everyone many time and we all laughed it off....man, talk about mental preparation vs what actually happen.. It will be wise to get enough sleep or grab a snicker......just my 2 cents
  13. So just couple of month back one of my friend got DQ'ed . He is a right handed shooter. I usually start my course of fire by going left to right after the first area most of the time because its a bit quicker for me and also most important thing is the reload. The course of fire is a like a zig zag course and you have to stand on top of a brick to shoot at the targets or it counts a procedural. My friend got DQ'ed because he went from position right and move to position left during his reload, keep in mind that he is right handed. So he broke the 180 rule when he reloaded. Lesson 1 I guess moving to the left while reloading have more potential to break the 180 because you are bringing the gun in. If it was reloading while moving to the right, it is less potential to break the 180 rule while moving. Lesson 2 Reload while facing down range first then move Lesson learned and just want to share. What are your thoughts?
  14. When you have friends willing to split, it makes it easier
  15. Yep! Just got in a 1050 to replace my 2nd XL650. The other XL650 is going to be changed to Open loads for my partner. 1050 will replace the 9mm production load.
